@garry she talks to you? 🤷‍♂️😜

I had never met her before, just randomly came up to me in the pub.

turuva certainly an upgrade on the backline we currently have, he runs pretty hard not sure he is a centre though

Luai and Taruva played very well tonight. Hunt certainly has impact

I cant wait to get Luai here. He is everything we need. So impressed with the way he was driving his teammates. Perfect for us.

TBH I was unimpressed with Turuva and Hunt.

Turuva has speed and strength. His hands maybe not as silky as some centres around but he is an upgrade to everyone we have. Hunt is critical to the Sharks attack, his fast play the balls give them the front foot to play off later in the half. We have enough of the tackle machine middles.

Looked like the coach dragged Hunt after he botched that offload?

Turuva looks a good player, runs hard etc but Im concerned about his size. I reckon he is a blend of Staines & Laurie. I really want him to be a success at centre but for mine Im not sure he is big enough.

TBH Im not even sure he is big enough for what we need for wing. Seems ridiculous to say because he is good enough for the best team in the comp but there will be more pressure on him here.

hope he can play centre, time will tell as he may well get a shot at it.

interesting lodge has rejected manly offer, I don't like him as a human being but as a front rower he is not too bad

Ok, so how do we think we play Luai and Galvin? Replicate the Panthers where Luai is welded into the left edge? Or does he play a more traditional halfback role? How do we optimise Galvin and Luai as a combo?

It’s exciting, the potential is there to be as good a combo as Cleary and Luai.

Beyond that, what kind of lock play best compliments these guys? Yeo is like another half at times, who do we have that might be able to best replicate that?

Is Bird that lock forward / 3rd half you speak of?

They are both prominently left edge players but I would be playing them both sides of the field.

I think one of Galvin's biggest strengths is his ability to quickly get into position when swinging one side to the other and I think he will be extremely dangerous with the extra focus the defence is going to place on Luai as he has probably the most dangerous footwork of any half in the competition.

Just need to improve the forwards so we can provide them with more space and time.

if we can sign Hetherington (not sure if we can)

I would go with

1. Bula

2. Turuva

3. Olam

4. Bird

5. Skelton

6. Galvin

7. Luai

Defensively this baclkine is solid in the centrew not brilliant attacking though however Luai and Galvin can hopefully work magic.

we are a backrower / lock short at present

For the 14 role I would probably look at Latu Fainu over TDS

Looks good, can’t wait to see Luai and Galvin working together.

I think Bird is the best #13 option we have in the current squad, but I hope we can get Hetherington or another to spend time there as well. Need depth and a bit of versatility.

would rather To’a and Naden in the centres than those two you’ve mentioned.

@jedi-tiger we have to remember the incoming Australian captain started out in the backs in Isaha. Bird should be given first crack at the lock position. He’s a competitor, not slow and has a footy brain. Something we’ve lacked for such a long time. In fact the (c) wouldn’t look out of place 🤷‍♂️
