Jack Bird has confirmed the plan is for him to play at lock next season (Telegraph)

Putting Pole in prop rotation. I don’t mind it, Bird has spent a lot of time at 5/8 and could be a good link man with Galvin and Luai.

I'm concerned that Bird just doesn't have the size to do some dirty hit ups, and when the lock makes a carry it's often at a critical time in the set... a good hit up can either create a front foot play or if not successful will put the team on the back foot and under pressure.

The rest of Bird's game is probably suited to 13 though.

I agree but also would depend how they use him. Think he’d share the role with another player but only guessing.

I think he's potentially a very good #13 at this stage of his career. Just needs to get his conditioning right for big mins in the middle (easier said than done obviously).
