Two weeks running the forward pack has aimed up and if not bettered at least equaled the oppositions pack of forwards

4 of the starting pack + Twal over 100m is laying a great platform for the halves to work off..

Forwards win matches backs determine the score..

Missing Kelma this week too

We have obviously become less reliant on our back 5 and when you can maintain pressure in the opposition's 20 and have extremely high completion rates the numbers will always be good 

Its been there all year (except Newcastle)....

Joffa said in his interview during the week:

'Our forwards have been busting our asses off every week, but it just looked good last week, it looked good when the whole team complemented it.'

I think what he was saying was the forwards have been laying a platform but we werent capitalising by scoring points. 

Forwards run over 80m this year:

Against sharks  - Joffa 156m, Lucy 133m, Musgrove 85m

Against Titans- Joffa 143m, Twal 134m, Lucy 124m, Tamou 91m, Musgrove 85m

Against Warriors- Ute 132m, joffa 120m, Lucy 96m, Tamou 91m, 

Against Newcastle - Lucy 108m

Against storm - Lucy 122m, Ute 120m, Kelma 109m, Joffa 100m, Musgrove 85m

Some of our forwards need to learn how to bend the line, late footwork at the line, leg drive & try to not get rag dolled consistently. 

Pack has been competitive against more fancied opponents. Jacko tells them what to do and lots of kicking helps them. Can't wait for big Stef to get back.

Stefano is the missing ingredient at the moment, he’ll add a lot on his return.

The pack is improving with Tamou getting more involved. Still need to improve heaps but headed in the right direction. We played Souths with only two forwards on the bench, lucky to get away with that.
