I admire the optimism here and I wish I was more optimistic. At the end of the day though, we haven’t signed one player currently playing NRL. I think Sullivan is a good player but was fringe at Saints, Latu and his bro playing reserve grade, Sezer playing in a pretty poor super league team.

Sullivan and Sezer may end up being better than what we had this year but they’ll still be a fairly weak halves combo compared to other teams. Parra had Brown and Moses and finished 11th.

in our backs Bula and Tupou are, at this stage of their careers, solid first graders (with a lot of potential). Staines is solid too, when fit. To’a, Nofo, Reilly, Feledy, Naden are not.

We are a lot further off the pace than a lot of people think, imo. We are light years away from 12th, let alone top 8.

A similar off season as last turning over and improving the back like we did with the forwards and it will go a long way to improving those issues. No reason that should happen considering we "upgraded" our Head of Recruitment.

@tiger5150 it just shows how grubby some are . They know what’s going on , they just choose to sensationalise something for clicks , which is super offensive really .
Anyways , Sheens is a legend , I wish all the best and nothing but love from this tigers fan .

It’s brought forward the plan , but sometimes a baptism of fire is a good thing .
what’s the saying

“the strongest swords are forged in the hottest fires “ .
I was actually talking about Benji with my son today . He’s too young to know how good he was , but the name Benji Marshall just resonates throughout Australia . Way more than a cam smith or Billy slater . It’s unbelievable kids who are 10 talk about how good Benji is/was . My son doesn’t even follow football .
We were taking about having to change and adapt as you get old , and his name came up .
As I was explaining how Benji went from a generational talent to one who had to adapt his game to his new reality , it really made me think that that takes real insight , and football knowledge . Not many players as good as him have been able to do that , and have a second career .
When you talk it through , it actually had me confident that we have the right guy in charge . We just need to give him time to adapt .I’m  actually really confident for next year , surprisingly!

Yep, I've said before, Benji is a rookie but he is no dummy. If we give the time and support he is smart enough to take it and make the most of it.
