Sorry guys , I get we got pumped by basically Kuola and co ( hence why we pushed so hard to sign him this year ) , but I’m not as diminished by that performance as say , the cowboys loss .
last night I think Kit is going to be a huge star , he looks to have it , but is just too young .
Api is a hooker and his small frame is exposed out wide by wide running edge forwards . So Feledy being a weak defender just made it yuck . I thought Feledy is going to be a weapon in attack , but he won’t play first grade until he fixes his defence .
They knew to target api and Feledy . And it worked . Neither will be defending there next season.
I thought we saw enough from the rookies to try and get something out of that . I’m not as emotional about that game as others .

Agree... I'm glad I didn't post last night! Much calmer today.

@lestronge Kit, Bula, TDS and Pole all look great. Matamua looks like he’s got something.

Blore, Feledy are no good

The issue is they’re all so young it will be another 3 or so years until we see them at their best, and by then they’ll probably have gone elsewhere.

@jedi-tiger Lee and Pascoe are the ones that have signed the coaches that have chosen this roster. It’s absolutely on them. Btw how much are we paying Sheens to leave? How much did we pay Madge? Still profitable after that? Doubt it.

Interesting that Sheens and the club have signed a NDA about Sheens leaving the club. If everything was amicable you wouldn’t think that would be necessary. I suspect they are scared the Sheens would tell it how it really is at the club if he wasn’t muzzled.

Not sure about Feledy after last night. Pretty good way to ruin a career before it starts in my opinion. Needs at least another year if not two in building his game in lower grades.

I don't believe that is the case, I think there is a valid reason for the NDA.

@avocadoontoast Feledy is 18 lol how can you say that . He’s never tackled a man as big as olakuatu . He now knows what’s required to be a first grader .
It’s probably why he and kit played . They know how far they are off the pace and now they know what first grade actually is.
Im happy to waste a nothing game if you t means some realism can get pushed into this crop of juniors .
they’re good , but not first grade good no matter how much skill they have .
Even talyn whilst playing plenty of games is still well off the pace.
Blore is fine . He’s a middle . Why people keep persisting with him on the edge does my head in .
The other podcast were making out like sheens and Benji had lost thier mind moving him into the middle .
the answer ?
what we saw last night . He’s big , he’s strong and he hits hard . Doesn’t move quick enough on the edges to shut down guys like ola .
man’s as for ice , I’m happy to keep him , but if the Ola to here , ice to parra stuff is true , then I’m all for it .
I thought ice would be the damaging runner , but hes closer to  Adam Blair than he is to Gordon Tallis .

Probably won't, but sometimes that is the right thing.

@lestronge it wasn’t just that he couldn’t tackle properly, his positional awareness was appalling. And he’s also too short and his hair is ridiculous. I’ve put him through the shredder. Sorry

He is still young enough to play SG Ball next year so gets more time from me

@avocadoontoast he’s 18 mate ! I saw more than enough to work with . When guys like Hoffman debuted , I couldn’t believe how big average he was. .

Feledy showed Bradman Best like glimpses. To be fair to Feledy there’s not too many olakuatus running around .

We need at least 3 above average signings to avoid the Spoon in 2024.

My family won't be renewing unless there is a dramatic roster improvement.

I haven't the energy or desire to watch a horrible side anymore. I've started to feel that financially contributing is enabling mismanagement.

im just not sure where an above average signing comes from IMHO. We have 3 halves to work with, our 1 and 9 are locked as is our back up 9. We have a bunch of young and experienced back towers so it’s really down to getting some quality in the outside backs perhaps. The key has to be getting the new halves and the best of the young kids into the pre season and working out what style we want to play ie actually a game plan because right now we have nothing other than truck it up in yardage and burn tackles in the red zone until we kick of the 5th. The biggest change has to be in the way the team is coached and attacking structure. I have some hope for Benji with Morris as his assistant given he has spent time in successful/modern attacking structures but the lack of anything new there this season despite Benji taking over has me worried. I’m hoping that was more the fact that we had no halves for the majority of the season but it scares the hell out of me

Tigers fans: Why do we wait until the last round to give these kids a go? Should have happened weeks ago!

Also Tigers Fans : Why did we give that young kid a go? It will ruin his career!
