Pay brooks forward for next year with LL’s money and whatever room with have in the cap for 22 and then offload him to Newcastle for 23. He’s not the future and I have watched every coach in the last decade think they can “get brooksy firing” and has failed.
I've articulated my willingness to move on from Brooks with absolutely any other option at 5/8. You Sir have cooked the books to make it happen. Thank You.

Will Hastings be our halfback in 3 years time - YES
Will Brooks be our 5/8th in 3 years time - ? (He'll be 30yo and likely to be doing what he's doing now)
Will AD be our 5/8th in 3 years time ?- (he's somewhere in the team, either centre or 6 and likely captain)
Will Laurie be our fullback in 3 years time - ? (Either need some real spark in our outside backs or replace Laurie with an x factor fullback)
I don't see a halves pairing of Hastings and AD working out, but the decision needs to be made in the next 2 months.
The decision is exactly on who will be our spine in 3 years. As they aren't of contract for 18 months.

I am not sure AD is a 6 at this point and I don't like their lack of speed so don't really see them working that well together but I would be finding out over the next month.

I don’t think Laurie is big enough to play 1 in a top 4 NRL team. I would like to see what his ability is at 6, he is fast and has a nice passing and short kicking game and is brave in defence.

He has a decent long ball and can pass in the line, I am more concerned about him knowing when to pass early and when to engage the defender, that is where he struggles for mine.
