Some players we should be looking at for a mid year signing. I don’t know if we have anybody in Reserve grade worthy of an upgrade . BACKS: Kade Dykes, Sunia Turuva, Kayal Iro, Matthew Komolafe, Mawene Hiroti (depth)
FORWARDS: Matthew Doorey, J’maine Hopgood and Jackson Topine.

Leo Thompson at knights is the type of player we need.

Sound slide he's contracted this and next year, so we could be talking to him from this Nov

Top 8 2023

Crichton leaving the Roosters could be on. Here’s what Rothfield had to say tonight on NRL 360.

“I’ll tell you how much pressure their salary cap is under, Angus Crichton agreed to terms and the deal wasn’t signed because they cannot lodge it with the NRL because it would put them over the cap for next year,” Rothfield said.

Roosters will find a way to fit Crichton in. They never lose top liners as a general rule. I think there is better value in the Roosters lower grades. I have been to a few Bears games this year.

Whyte on the edge is very strong most weeks and is only 20.

Young fijian guy on the right wing has NRL written all over him.

Would love for us to find some top line NRL players with experience but there is some gems in the lower grades.

The trick would be to try and get Crichton on a good fair price. If he’s after an absolute premium then yes, look elsewhere.

@barra Planning now for next season is what it’s all about .. this season is done no finals again, Liddle can go next week if he wants IMO .
The sooner the books are cleared the better to move forward in bolstering the stocks for next season .

A very interesting way of wording it.

Cowboys football boss Micheal Luck said the club has no regrets over buying Leilua following Gilbert’s decision to defect to the Dolphins next year.

“We have every intention of honouring our deal with Luciano,” Luck said.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

Lucy needs to have a chat to the million dollar a season No 13 about how easy it is the get big minutes from a certain T Payten

Could we have our first player since Tim Moltzen to renege on a signed deal lol

I guess the big problem with Crichton is he will be 27 by start of next season ......and this contract will be the one he hopes to get his best $$$$$$$$$'s ...throw in possible interest from Rugby Union ......he will be expecting big bucks

IMO this team NEEDS an elite player with experience who is still young enough to make a difference. We WILL have to pay overs for that one player. Is Crichton the right one?

@tiger5150 If Douhie is not going to be the 6, if Hastings is happy with Brooks and he plays 6 and takes a pay cut for final contract then Move on Adam Douhie for a Stephen Crighton

Huge call, but I see the logic there.

@declan was hoping most of wests Harold Matthews team to make nrl with us. But that’s good money for a 16/17 year old kid if true.
