just not sure where tommy fits in, forward or back??  bit too slow for a back now and not sure if he has the tank to be a forward..i hear we have given him 1 more year

I know the club felt he was a future back rower. Maybe he’ll get a go at centre next year?

Probably most suited for the centres but will need to improve his ball security when doing the dirty hitups. He has a bit of xfactor about him. I wouldn’ let him go just yet.

Absolutely Eastiemaggie, remember Bellamy wanted him,Benji sang his praises with superlatives and agree with you on the X factor quality. We just have to wait and see. We’ve been screwed over by the dreaded ACL in the last year.As frustrating as it is,patience is a virtue.

If you go back and watch the Tigers Tales ....Madge is always talking to Tommy Talau ...he obviously has a high opinion of him

I re-watched the first few rounds of last year and TT was pretty good. A bit raw but not bad. So yeah I’d be disappointed if he left.

Further to the Liddle being shopped situation - looks like he could be exiting Concord for another Sydney club in the next few weeks.

Cowboys are denying it, but there seems to be some talk/rumours that Luciano might not be heading to the Cowboys next year.

In today's tele

Liam Martin could be headed to the open market after the premiership-winning forward knocked back a first-up offer from the Panthers.

That seems unlikely but brilliant if it happened. As you've said on the poddy - he's worth the money Cows offered now.

This saddens me a bit. I know there is too much of a gap between his best and his worst game, but the guy has a great heart and totally committed - something too many of our players have lacked over the last few years.

I agree, I reckon his card has been marked though since we signed Api.

If we were around 600 k under the cap as reported and then release Liddle we obviously have a signing / upgrade in mind

Because if we don't and then don't either sign someone else or upgrade someone else we would fall below the 94% of cap being used and would get fined by the NRL

No club is ever going to be fined for not reaching the lower threshold, we will just upgrade someone and forward load a couple of guys like we always do.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

I feel the same and have hoped all along that he would stay and become a gun. But the game against Souths when Simpkin had a blinder changed my mind.

More than that, if we release Liddle who's the backup to Simpkin? Rua out for the season...

That would be great for us.

My point is something is going to happen ...one way or the other

Peachey I'd guess ....or maybe they link Hastings and Douehi and go the Brooks route (which I highly doubt now)
