Luke Garner’s defence has been a revelation over the last year.On the weekend he was pressuring Tommy Turbo to great effect.He seems calm and contained and his hands don’t let him down as they have in the past.He’s served his apprenticeship and ironed out his foibles.....I’m dumbfounded we didn’t counter-offer to retain him.That snake Cleary is being gifted a ready made,versatile quality player at a bargain price as a 26,27 year old with EXPERIENCE!
I know we purportedly have some young guns coming through,but how long does it take to get them up to speed?
Perhaps there are some diamonds that we can’t afford to lose and it’s dictated by salary cap balance,but I agree,hard to swallow with the fact we’re losing Kelma and big Lucy,our best forward.

Yep ..especially Garner .....Luch and Tuilagi are better players .....but leaving yourself short a starting back row for 2023 is unforgivable

It seems we offered Nikora just shy of $600k a year for 3 years ($1.7M), Cronulla have matched it.
If Crichton is on the market how much higher are we willing to go to get him? To me he is a much better option.

Apparently I have been told we are in talks with Caleb Clarke All Black and Auckland Blues winger. No idea on salary etc but looking at 2024 after rugby world cup. Madge has met with Caleb apparently

Totally agree but we can only blame ourselves for some of those players not being here ....can we tempt Gareth Ellis back as an assistant coach
