Worst outside back in the comp. Anyone know if it was a Madge or Hartigan signing?

Give him time. Unfortunately, due to injuries, that is going to be in the NRL. His main problem is positioning and not relying on his inside man to do their job. This can be learnt. He can tackle and is elusive in attach and makes good post contact meters despite his size. He is worth persevering with IMO.

Sorry Mike ...but he has played 40 good minutes in 8 rds ...if that was anyone else we'd all be up in arms ....can you imagine everyone's reaction if it was Brooks , Liddle , Tamou .....

He’s had 7 NRL games. The NRL is not Super League. It would be better if he could spend some time in reserves for sure but injuries means he will be in the NRL side. Brooks, Tamou and even Liddle are NRL veterans in comparison. I’m not giving up on Gildart. He has a lot of positives.

Blokes like Cini and Pauga didn't get 7 chances .......Gildart defensively is a liability

Cini & Pauga are not in the same league as Gildart. Agree that he has defensive issues but these can be fixed.

Gildart's defence is so far below NRL level he should be playing in the same league as those 2 which is State Cup.

Don’t disagree however circumstances are that he is playing NRL. He’ll come good.

My opinion is if we bring someone over from the UK they should be NRL level unless they are a development signing .....Gildart isn't a development signing and I bet we are probably paying 350 k +

Why I was always confused by Mark Flanagans signing ....

Well I hope it is very soon. He probably directly cost us last weeks game and in the NRL wins are hard to come by. We cant afford to lose games whilst someone learns on the job.

I’m sure Brown is signed as cover for Rua in reserves for this year and we do need some experience players in cup side.

Apparently Sheens was asked for his opinion on our signing Gildart and Sheens said he would need time and patience.

Well my time is restricted and my patience is even less likely
