I think when you look at our attack at the moment ...we need as many attacking options on the park as possible

it gives us strike across the park and throw in Papali at second row it is an upgrade on Lucy defensively and attack.
@helmesy Lee went rogue and offered Nofo 4 years he will extend Brooks probably with tpa and a 10 year discount so we will get salary cap relief from either Brooks or nofo anyway

Brooks and Madden? We’ve produced 3 tries in 4 games with them in the halves, two by a front rower and one interception. Spoon bound again with that combo

@avocadoontoast you have Hastings as ball playing lock, better than Connor Watson etc and we need a centre, Douhie fits the bill

This side was always going to be horrid in 2022....thats why we need to find points ... if we can find a way of scoring 18 points a week at least it gives us half a chance ......

My concern isn’t Hastings. Brooks and Madden aren’t an NRL quality halves pairing imo. I don’t think either of them can be in the halves moving forward
@unhappy-tiger I agree, but I can’t see us scoring 18 a game with Brooks and Hastings as our key playmakers
im ok with Hastings at 7 if we have a good 6
I want to see a Hastings Brooks halves pairing we saw it play well for 60 mins against Melbourne and terrible against Newcastle but the entire team was terrible

The difference with the first 2 games was Brooks was playing foest receiver in those 2 games and Hastings was roving 6.
I'm really keen to see hastings as a traditional 7 firstly. I hope he straightens us up and allows us to play through the middle before we spread it. And he gives us direction and confidence.
Brooks has one last chance. He is a 6 not a 7. So hopefully playing a traditional 6 gets the best of him. Otherwise he's competing with AD for the spot.

interesting on westslife podcast they will be having JAC manager on in a few weeks and he will discuss how we missed out of JAC (him Signing with dogs) he hinted a complete club stuff up so should be good listening
@frullens agree Brooks has always reminded me of a faster version of Kevin walters let him play what he sees and run. He has more pace than Madden ever will have so looking forward if Hastings gives him some straightening and holes to run in to
