Love Munster as a player, but Im not sure he is the type of player that is going to turn us around. Good individual player, not necessarily going to improve those around him. Although maybe he would help us attract others, he would take up a lot of our cap at the $1m or so it would take. Dreams are free I guess.

What one player would turn us around? Even with our 2023 purchases we are still 3 very good players away from being a very good team.

Agreed Steve. I think we need another prop, a back rower and a centre.

IMO we do need those positions strengthened but whilst our spine is useless, so will be our team. Laurie isnt cutting it, we need a Reece Walsh or similar. Brooks & Madden arent going to do it and for mine the jury is out on AD & Hastings in the halves, we need a Cleary, DCE, Reynolds type. Hopefully Api fixes the 9 but its short term (Rua after that).

So where almost there we don’t need to much more

Almost there, just need a new 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12, 13.

Sounds about right to me I might be tempted to add a coach to the list as well

To fully turn us around ...there has been no one in the history of rugby league who could solely turn us around ......Lewis ...Joey ...Sterling .....Gasnier .....Fulton ....Fittler ...no one

And you better get Bellamy .....Robinson .....Bennett .....Gibson ....Graham Lowe ......Hasler as well

If this is correct (which I believe it is), then why do people insist sacking Brooks will fix everything?

Our spine is possibly the weakest in the league which is why scoring points is an issue. I like Liddle but he's over-worked in D which seriously blunts his attack. Neither Laurie, Madden or Joffa (at 13) are top 8 in their positions. Hastings, AD and Api immediately strengthen us but fullback is so important these days we need to be in the market.

I don't think anyone does think that sacking Brooks will fix everything ....but he is the highest paid player and to buy replacements to upgrade us in the spine he will have to go 1st .....

This photo was taken inside the boardroom at concord so this story is obviously legitimate. Why then is there no information on the website?

Watched his highlights. An obvious raw talent but to be honest a lot of his vid's look your typical "big kids against little kids" scenario that we have all seen before. Also  the majority of his highlights are his "big hits" but he uses a very particular technique which is the same as I was taught in the dark ages (back horizontal, drive shoulder in and up) which is good for a hit and stops a bloke but allows the offload. He will need to change his technique totally for NRL.

Good luck to the kid.

That would be desperate but at this stage... He's like Benji. On his day, he's a great but on his down days he's poor (like most players I guess). I'm thinking no.

I must say it normally takes longer in the season for the frustration of fans (and team) get to me. It's not easy trying to be the voice of reason.

The other forum repelled me because it was hard to read some of the points of view (I had nearly 30 people blocked) and I thought the admins lost their way. Originally I felt the level of discussion here was higher but after the loss on the weekend I can see emotion just blinds people to reason and demonstrable fact.

That's cool, everyone's entitled to an opinion, but I'm a logical pragmatist so I find emotional and unfounded arguments, well, illogical. Hopefully the boys can jag a win to change the tone.
