Couple of thoughts:
If we are not satisfied with what Brooks offers then Flanagan is not the answer. Brooks laps him in every facet of the game imo.
We talk of constant mismanagement over the years. If the club sacks Maguire now, after passing on the opportunity to do so during the off season then they deserve all the ridicule that will come their way. I think Madge’s time is done but the professional, least disruptive and efficient way to change coaches would be in between seasons.
We did the same with Taylor ...even after talking with Cleary in January .....
Swap Brooks with Flanagan? Ok.
I’d put my faith in Madden as our halfback going forward. I don’t think Flanagan’s as bad as people make out he was more than steady at the Roosters and Robinson played him multiple times but he always had eyes on Walker coming through.

To be fair he also said he wasn’t interested in the Dogs job before it was announced about 2 days later. Gould and Bennett deny everything until it’s done which I think is a good way to do things.

Wests Tigers playmaker Jock Madden is set to test the open market according to The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio.
Madden, 22, has made two appearances for the Tigers this year in the absence of Jackson Hastings and Adam Doueihi, performing well in tight losses to the Warriors and Titans.
As he’s third in the pecking order of five-eighths at Concord, Riccio says he’ll look to cement a spot at another club before committing to the Tigers.
“This one focuses on Jock Madden being off contract at the end of this season,” Riccio said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.
“The young half who’s been deputising in the absence of Jackson Hastings, he’ll play this Sunday alongside Luke Brooks in the halves.
“He wants to test his value on the open market before committing to anything at the Tigers.
“That’s understandable, and we’ve spoken about it that Jock Madden was shopped to the Raiders at the start of this season as a quick fix for Jamal Fogarty.
“So, it doesn’t come as a surprise to me that Madden has itchy feet and wants to cement down an NRL spot.”
