Disgusted that supporters will go this length to disparage the guy. Everyone knows already he’s struggling in a struggling team. Everyone already knows he’s in poor form, playing without confidence etc. To show a highlight (lowlight) reel is pathetic. If he makes them so angry and frustrated here’s an idea, don’t watch the game until he’s not there. Christ almighty, the guy has a family. Makes you wonder if the shoe was on the other foot how they’d feel about this type of thing which goes on way too much.

Who are the right people they want this video to find? Everyone saw it, it was broadcast live. Pascoe was even sitting on the sideline.
Nope, just the amount of respect they have for the family and friends of a club great. And the way the fans got behind it. Thought it showed a bit of class and right now we seem to lack that across the whole club.Off topic but the Souths players standing in a circle arms entwined with the Sattler family for a minute’s silence before the game was special. The “big” clubs know what it means.
You mean the chairman didn't bizarrely take the spotlight and hold a jersey up for everyone, and then the team didn't shit the bed?
How un-tigers like
This will be my final post here as I find I’m not getting all that much enjoyment out of the forum as I had hoped. I’m 60 years old now and at this stage I just want as much positivity around me as I can get. I’ve noticed for some time now that the socials can very quickly turn into something akin to a modern day version of a lynch mob and it’s a little scary to be honest. I fear it could one day culminate in something terrible happening and I want no part in that. There’s some good stuff but just seems to be an increase in rumour mongering, judging, criticising and placing blame. And it’s not just in relation to sport, it’s pretty much everywhere and it can sometimes border on hysteria. Anyway, as I’ve mentioned before I love footy for many reasons especially as it gives me a way of to distance myself from all that I don’t like in the world and I had hoped by participating in this kind of forum it would continue to help me do that to an even greater degree but it hasn’t. Now I know that all I really want to do I is enjoy a game of footy and meet good people so I’ll continue to do what I love most, attend games and the occasional Ambush event and, of course, I’ll give the poddies a listen. I’ve just bought myself a record player too so I will spend a bit more time buying and listening to some oldies which will be good. Anyway, nothing personal, just a decision I’ve thought about for a while now. So all the best to you forum folk, hopefully a turn in fortunes is not too far away for the team. See you at the footy. Tigers!!!!

I see your point but I also understand the fans frustration. Going to the footy isn’t cheap, and a lot of people out there save their pennies so they can treat themselves and their family to a day at the footy. After 12 years of no finals, frustration boils over.
When you’re the highest paid player at the club, and one of the highest paid players in the game, earning over $1m a year, scrutiny is higher - it comes with the territory. He wouldn’t have this sort of pressure or scrutiny if he was on less money. No one made him sign the contract.
WT are not a charity, and if he wants the criticism to stop he needs to either work on his game, or leave. He’s been terrible now for 5 seasons.
Him and his family are set for life due to WT. I find it very hard to feel sorry for him.
@russtutty63 hey mate. I’ve enjoyed reading your contributions in the time I’ve been here.
I will say this forum is much more balanced than others I have seen. People are engaged in respectful discussion even when they disagree and are happy to discuss the issues rather than get involved in personal insults.
Enjoy listening to your records.
@russtutty63 Russ so sorry to hear we won't be able to see on the forum any more.
I always enjoy reading your posts and you positivity and energy you've bought to the forum and to the people you meet.
As someone who lives in Melbourne the forum on the only real opportunity I have to be part of the WT community, however I'm glad the others will still be able to see you at the games and at the ambush (maybe even get a sneaky hug)
You always gave me a smile, and I fully respect your decision to get off social media, as I have the same concerns as you in regard how toxic it can get and it spilling into the real world.
Sending you all my energy and good vibes.
If you ever feel like popping back and saying hi, please do.

this pretty much looks our strongest team we can field this year. A shame we couldn’t have played this squad for the first 4 rounds because I think we probably would have won at least a couple of games.

Well I hope you come back pretty soon Russ. Your posts have always been good reading and I know that this forum aspires to what you are seeking. You will always be welcome back and hope to read your posts here sooner than later.

@avo I dont think your POV and Russ' POV are mutually exclusive. I was at all our home games this year and I was devastated, sitting there with my daughter and we were both completed distraught with the team, the situation of the club and Brooks as a player. Shaking my head, bitching about it between my daughter and I and friends. Seriously considered whether I want to keep coming back, pouring my money into the club etc. Ive reached the point where I see no future for Luke Brooks at our club. At no stage did I consider personally abusing Luke Brooks as an individual.
That lowlife reel that that Lukeant bloke put together (multiple videos) would have taken hours to put together and then upload to all the socials. Literally hours. Think about it, Lukeant is sitting there at his computer for 2-3 hours editing videos to denigrate Luke Brooks and make him look bad. Why? To help Luke work on his game? To help Sheens select next weeks team? Or do you think it might be for the likes and validation that Lukeant gets from "followers" on socials? Lukeant is effectively using humiliation of another human being for his own gratification and that is disgusting.
I HATE that Luke Brooks completely ruined our attack every time he touched the ball. I HATE the fact that we seem to have formed a very useful squad that has the capaxcity to push for the 8 but is completely hamstrung by a complete lack of quality halves. I gaurantee that if I sat down for a beer with Luke Brooks and considered what work and effort he has put in for his career, and compared it to what Lukeant has achieved I'd respect Luke Brooks a lot more.

Kepaoa is a lot better centre than Doueihi, why weaken the position? I dont understand the need to find a spot for AD. If he isnt forcing his way into a spot, dont pick him. Naden & Kepaoa are two players demanding selection with their efforts and should be rewarded. For mine AD is 14 or reggies.
