Toa is a good signing. Our depth in the outside backs was threadbare and has NRL experience.
Unless there is significant improvement, hopefully he will be able to keep Roberts out of the side
when will it be a good signing though?
I think we have our starting wingers in David and Ken. Don’t think he’ll get a go at centre either. Yes he may have talent but I’m not sure where we will see it in 2022

He is depth in a full strength side with players performing well.
We start the year without Talau and Doueihi, Kepaoa & Gildart are unproven in the centres, and based on the last few years Roberts is proven average
To'a was a fullback coming through. I think he is depth for Laurie. Pre this signing we had no one to play FB if Lauire went down esp with Douehi out

Starford To'a's move from Newcastle to the Tigers last week has re-ignited talk of halfback Luke Brooks moving the other way.
The Knights remain keen on Brooks - but the Tigers are refusing to entertain talk of a release.
"Luke is training the house down and working really well with (new signing) Jackson Hastings," a Tigers source told me.
"We are really keen to see the two of them combining out there once the season starts."

@helmesy it seems that Newcastle are hoping now than more than anything in regards to Brooks. Lost their starting 7 and 9 from last season and might lose Ponga to the Dolphins so it seems they are desperate.

@helmesy it seems that Newcastle are hoping now than more than anything in regards to Brooks. Lost their starting 7 and 9 from last season and might lose Ponga to the Dolphins so it seems they are desperate.
I'm guessing the reason they got rid of Pearce was to clear the decks for a full offer for Ponga , I reckon they will try and knock it out of the park early in the season
Because if it lasts too long and the Knights go backwards as I think they will , Ponga will be looking at a premiership ready side or Rugby
