Don't expect to hear anything today. The queen will announce it as part of her christmas message.
I can’t see 2022 being a good year, with or without Brooks. Newcastle are the ones agitating so I don’t see why we’d be chipping in anything given Sheens wants him to stay. If we can get rid of that contract we should jump at it imo.
Newcastle will not take the full contract, no chance.

@garry when is the last time a team agitated for the release of another player and got that team to chip in, even though they didn’t want him to leave? Noone pays players to play elsewhere that they want to keep, and Sheens has said we want to keep him. If he goes to the Knights we’re not chipping in anything. Only way we’re chipping in is if we’re actively shopping him, which we’re not (apparently).
Brooks will run out Round 1 for Wests Tigers wearing 7 and there will be still people believing or should I say wishing it was for Newcastle..

To me it is the advisor / player manager with connections to both parties Brooks and the Newcastle coach want it to happen.. hence the constant speculation in the media

@geo-2 I think the club want him, but I don’t buy that he necessarily wants to be here. Player agents work on behalf of their client. He’s not talking to Newcastle without Brooks knowing about it..

Didn’t say Brooks doesn’t know about it.. in fact a lot around him (family) want him to go elsewhere..
