Saying Nathan Brown is still coming our way.
IMO Nathan Brown can only be considered if Moses commits to us first otherwise they can/will use N Browns savings to front load Moses to sweeten the deal.
@tiger5150 if Moses dies stay at Eels then we take brown subsidised and try for George Williams I guess
My point being we have to uncouple Moses and Brown. We can not allow them to front load Moses with Browns $$$.
If they really want/need to get rid of NBrown to free up a spot (for Tapau or whoever) they can release Moses for 23. Thats the game Id play. NBrown is a benchie in our team at best. Completely expendable IMO. Would rather Matamua get a run.
I also hope Nathan Brown stays at the Eels or goes elsewhere.. He offers nothing more than Alex Twal does but at least Alex is already within the salary cap planning.
I am STILL waiting for the genuine, marquee signing that CEO/Board/Sheens/McDonnell have attracted. So far, it's Will Smith.
@garry I am wondering how much a club official’s relationship affect these type of deals. For example we (well Marina) got rid of Buckets for alleged sexual harassment and it seemed like Buckets had a point to prove since then. Example Matterson gets out on mental health and Uto has to wait another year before released. Another is Cows want Lucy and enter Tim they get him quickly. You would think that Tim has some respect/sway with these guys and eventually what goes aground..comes around?

Wow, are you saying we only miss him if Moses dies.
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
I reckon, based on no solid info, that the Moses decision could be delayed because Sheens is trying to get him for 23.

I still think we are a good chance of signing Moses for 2024, if he was staying at the Eels it would be announced already

Agree its all very suss to me..
I just don't see how they can also offer Moses big dollars considering some of the other quality they already have locked up.

I reckon we’re $200,000k above the Eels offer.

@helmesy well if that’s the difference than I’m pretty sure he stays with Parra.

Wow! Didn’t realise 200,000k was considered chump change these day’s in Australian sports.
I mean it’s not like our sports man and women get anywhere near the equivalent of money that American sports can provide.
You would be milking it for all it’s worth seeing as such a short career path.
