Backs up what I heard regarding Nu Brown 

Tommy Talau will be in the top 30.
Nu Brown was offered a fair 2 year deal to stay but wanted more, Club will not budge on the offer & expect him to leave.
Henry O'Kane was sitting on the fence last I heard, offer still on the table, believe he will stay.
As mentioned previously Albert Kelly has been spoken to about training with the club in the offseason, only other confirmed T&T at the moment is Brandon Mansfield.

Re Hastings

Klemmer would be a solid acquisition. Leniu even better, but that always seemed far fetched. If we were somehow able to get the two of them in and Musgrove out, I'd be hooting and hollering. 

Not sure on Bateman as I haven't seen him since he left the NRL, but a bit wary of the feedback that he's dropped off significantly. 

I am not fussed on any of our halves - I think we need to let at least one go, and recruit a solid half. 

We also need to make a call on Laurie. Not much else out there (and available), so I don't mind the idea of extending him for a year and letting Sheens and co have a proper look at him. Not sold on him at all, but would be happier taking a chance on him at #1 than bringing back all three of the halves.

@helmesy You forgot Naden who is a better footy player than a couple of players in that backline ..no semi’s with Laurie at fullback IMO! Must say if the club can jag a few players you have mentioned the halves will have plenty to play off, not a bad pack .

@helmesy Except Sheens has promised speed and I don’t see too much back line speed in that lot.

Its a better pack of course but still short of a gun second row partner for Paps.

Batemen and Hastings in our starting pack is a worry.

@snake Tend to agree.

@momo-amp-medo Depends on what Bateman arrives , I like Hastings at lock gives more attacking options that other teams  will need the cover he is to slow to be in the halves , the back line is an issue slow as except for Brooks !Still think Laurie is a Smokey in the halves do not forget Shifty is coaching anything is possible.

Slot Naden in for To'a and that is a vastly improved squad but not a top 8 team yet IMO. Dare we dream for the lofty heights of 9th?
