Klemmer hey? Big, aggressive and experienced, makes sense.

We’d probably have to cover most of, if not all of Klemmer’s remaining contract without a Brooks swap involved. But next years salary can be offset somewhat by the savings from letting Luci, Nofa and Gildart play elsewhere. I would think the two years after that would be a little less. He was the Knights player of the year, but he’s no longer playing Origin or Aust. Still only 28 though, you would think there’s a few good years left in him.

The other name being mentioned is Leniu, not much detail around that for obvious reasons (focused on the GF), and there may not be much in it. He was strong in the GF, but is still only knocking out 20-25 minutes a game. He might be ready to go up a level and become a starting prop.

You’d love to take them both but me thinks it’ll only be one middle for now. At this stage I’m probably leaning towards Klemmer, he’s already an experienced, established prop with the power and aggression we need.

I still would rather T Frizell to be honest. Could play him either backrow or front row. Offload brooks and play Hastings at 7. We can only dream can’t we!

@loganr21 we are not wanting to offload Brooks for 2023 !!

I would like Frizell too as he can play both front and second row agree, but knights don't want to release him, Klemmer would be a good pick up

No klemmer no Brooks knights will finish last or second last in 2023

I think our number 1 priority is middles so I would prefer Klemmer. But agree with offloading Brooks and playing Hastings there. I think that’s probably what the club is thinking too.

I’m surprised Klemmer is only 28, thought he was 30 plus.  I wouldn’t pay $800k, $500-$550 is more reasonable.

Hope we don't go after Nathan Brown

Not sold on Dylan Brown or Mitchel Moses, happy to give Brooks and laurie a go in the halves

Don't know about Staines at fullback, Staines on the wing is ok. If we do that keep Laurie at fullback and go with douhie Brooks in the halves

Key is Hastings at 13

Agreed. At the end of the day, Hastings is our best 7 and Brooks is our best 6. If it was me I'd play them there but there seems a push to have 4 or 5 positions as ball players. i get the idea but IMO you are diluting some positions to be mediocre in more positions.

The problem is each option we have in the halves has major weakness so we need to go with 3 halves to fill the role of 2.
