No intel but I'd reckon this would be highly unlikely. Is there precedence?
The Dragons have got a pretty good argument if they have someone flat out refusing to play then they have a whole in the roster.

My understanding is Dragons wanted compensation to let him go. I'm assuming it's related to what they have paid him so far for this season hence the lawyers now engaged. Bit rich arguing that they can't shift him so should get an exemption.
Daily Tele reporting the Klemmer move to the Dragons is still on, they do however need to get an exemption from the NRL because they can’t shift Molo.
article wqs saying they have forwarded him some money to build a house and they want it back, so they gave him most of his salary upfront and want it back, that would seem to be out of the normal practice for a club ?
if they were not smart enough to structure it as a loan, than they deserve to lose the money....smells a bit fishy though....I don't have access to tele articles.Daily Tele reporting the Klemmer move to the Dragons is still on, they do however need to get an exemption from the NRL because they can’t shift Molo.

If we are so keen to move Klemmer it would make some sense to just swap the two players Molo and Klemmer.
I have not seen enough of Molo to comment on his ability but he's really in a tough spot at the moment. There is not a list of clubs lining up to sign him so I suspect he'd take any Top 30 contract offered to him. We'd be able to get a pretty good deal for ourselves (especially relative to the big contract that Klemmer is on)
The fact that WT have NOT entertained a player swap makes me think that we might have another player in mind to join the club and take Klemmer's roster spot, provided we can move Klemmer.
Either way, this is all likely to shake out in the next day or so because teams are named 4pm Tuesday.
I think we'll have done really well to move Klemmer on. His PTB is just too slow for the modern game.
@mickb What I read it’s about money being owed for a housing loan that needs to be paid back to the club ..probably on top of his contract that’s the issue holding things up .
From what I read his gripe with STGI is about comments made toward him by one of Flanagan's staff?
I don't know if he will be, but I hope Flanagan is the first coach sacked in 2025 (ok, I'm using EPL standards here). I think he's a horrible person.
As Paul Kent was to NRL reporting, Flanagan is to NRL coaching. No redeeming features at all. IMO.

My thoughts as well.
