No intel but I'd reckon this would be highly unlikely. Is there precedence?

The Dragons have got a pretty good argument if they have someone flat out refusing to play then they have a whole in the roster.

My understanding is Dragons wanted compensation to let him go. I'm assuming it's related to what they have paid him so far for this season hence the lawyers now engaged. Bit rich arguing that they can't shift him so should get an exemption.

Daily Tele reporting the Klemmer move to the Dragons is still on, they do however need to get an exemption from the NRL because they can’t shift Molo.

article wqs saying they have forwarded him some money to build a house and they want it back, so they gave him most of his salary upfront and want it back, that would seem to be out of the normal practice for a club ?

if they were not smart enough to structure it as a loan, than they deserve to lose the money....smells a bit fishy though....I don't have access to tele articles.

@lorenzo you can read the full article on this reddit thread.

If we are so keen to move Klemmer it would make some sense to just swap the two players Molo and Klemmer.

I have not seen enough of Molo to comment on his ability but he's really in a tough spot at the moment. There is not a list of clubs lining up to sign him so I suspect he'd take any Top 30 contract offered to him. We'd be able to get a pretty good deal for ourselves (especially relative to the big contract that Klemmer is on)

The fact that WT have NOT entertained a player swap makes me think that we might have another player in mind to join the club and take Klemmer's roster spot, provided we can move Klemmer.

Either way, this is all likely to shake out in the next day or so because teams are named 4pm Tuesday.

I think we'll have done really well to move Klemmer on. His PTB is just too slow for the modern game.

@mickb What I read it’s about money being owed for a housing loan that needs to be paid back  to the club ..probably on top of his contract that’s the issue holding things up .

From what I read his gripe with STGI is about comments made toward him by one of Flanagan's staff?

I don't know if he will be, but I hope Flanagan is the first coach sacked in 2025 (ok, I'm using EPL standards here). I think he's a horrible person.

As Paul Kent was to NRL reporting, Flanagan is to NRL coaching. No redeeming features at all. IMO.

My thoughts as well.

Channel 9 reporting an unnamed Sydney club is keen on signing Taylan May if he becomes available.

Wonder who that could be 🤷‍♂️😂

Saw that, liked the fact they said the club wants to remain confidential until he is cleared....then they go on to quote how Terrel said he wants to play with his brothers 😎

@lorenzo

I'm sure that most Tigers fans would take Taylan in a heartbeat, provided he is fit and when he was at Penrith, he was THE upcoming young centre in the competition. We 100% need another quality outside-back, now that Olam appears to be medically retiring as well as Naden being injured and Douehi possibly having issues with his knees after our latest trial. I'd also like to think that in the year since he was charged and subsequently stood down by the NRL that he would've learnt his lesson and matured.

@illawarratiger He was exceptional playing for the Panthers. If the NRL register him (pending his day in court) than I believe we are in the box seat to recruit him, there is a reason we have positions still open. I also think having his brother at the club will make a big difference for Taylan and his behavior. In this area I do trust Richo and Benji to make the right call.

100%, this could really work out for us.
