Pole extension incoming
great news about Pole, really feels like we’re building momentum as a club
@tigertownsfs I never understand the thinking with players / managers at times why would you sign up to be second fiddle for years . The guy speaks he wants a first grade starting spot is given the opportunity and then says no thanks I will carry Carrigans kit bag around for a few seasons go figure !
@se-wt-rant There obviously is a positive vibe at Concord ATM!
Two year extension official.

What I would like to see happen with the 3 that did not meet fitness standards set by Benji, would be their current contracts torn up and therefore removed from the top 30... but I would still like to offer them a chance to earn their place back if they choose by offering them train & trial deals outside the top 30... it would then be up to them to work their way back if they desire.
Also opens up roster spots for us and I'd like to see Sione Fainu get one of them if he has shown he wants it.
Interesting approach. I wonder if this allowed under the rules? Also, surely you can't rip up contracts on a first offense?
I have no idea to be honest, maybe is a little harsh.
Maybe you can demote them out of the top 30 while maintaining their current contracts... no idea!
But I just think we need to be tougher on this type of thing. I mean being fit is these guys job. Is it not?
Do you get a holiday in your job?
Yep we all do...
But I'm also sure we ALL have KPIs.
Sione Fainu on a train and trial contract but will be upgraded soon according to Richo (someone is clearly getting off the bus).

The leaks aren’t from the club.I wonder what happened to "Members will hear first"
The club seems slightly leakier than it has been. I blame Lachy the intern.

I’m sure the majority likely come from player managers but I’m also very confident anything that Chammas reports comes directly from someone on the board
With Pole resigning the Tigers have 4 really good, young middles for, hopefully, at least the next 3 years. By 2027 Pole & May should be around that 100 game mark, Sione & Johannssen around the 50-75 game mark. May & Sione can offload, Sione & Pole have good footwork & Johannssen is the most mobile & arguably the fittest. May & Sione seem to defend well. Pole can be better defensively & Johannssen unsure but goes well in Cup.
Four good, young middles who can all provide energy to the rotation.
Just found out that Eagle Vale High is going to be the 8th Sports High, offering scholarships & specialised training in sports. League being the major sport thereby catering for students in the Campbelltown MacArthur area. Matt Betsey, Shannon Gallant & Noddy already talked to the school. The hope is it will have a greater impact upon the pathways system of the Tigers.
Douhie, Feledy, Staines, Matamua, Naden, Seyfarth, tumeth all off contract next year and all have represented WT in first grade. I can see the value in Seyfarth perhaps but that is 6 other top 30 slots that we should be recruiting for 2026 now and not be waiting to see what falls out of a tree. We need to be going after representative level (state or international) lock/2RF/prop and maybe centre. Also zero tackle reporting Galvin on only 250k this year and 350k next. We have a massive massive ability to pay him more than any other club by upgrading this contract. He should be on a 5 year deal (upgrade 2yrs, extend 3). That will still only take him into his mid 20s. It would be malpractice for his agent not to accept that
