Should the Tigers consider signing:

- Christian Welch as an experienced replacement for David Klemmer? Welch comes from the professional Storm system and is a former Queensland representative player. Defensively, he is rock solid, and he does his job and then some in attack.

- Raymond Faitala-Mariner to replace John Bateman in the 2nd Row? Faitala-Mariner is an experienced leader-type player off contract at the Dragons come the end of 2025 with plenty of potential. Whilst his career has suffered due to injury, he was superb thoughout 2024.

- Kotoni Staggs/ Selwyn Cobbo from the Brisbane Broncos. Whilst we have bolstered our backline already, I feel as though Olam is unfortunately past his prime and is too injury affected to be a regular starter.

Hopefully Luai is working on this at the moment.

bulldogs have a lot more roster space and better contracting balance but we must have more cash. He doesn’t strike me as a Flanagan type player

We have a spot available, he should be the priority for that spot.

There’s some suggestion Eels might also be keen so not a foregone conclusion where he goes, there’ll be competition for him. But hopefully having connections with Luai will help.

You never really can be sure what’s going on in the background with Richo now at the club but my guess is Hetherington might be a chance as Broncos will need to free up cap space. I like Faitala-Mariner but think Dragons would be keen to keep him. Welch I like but he seems a guy you’d love to keep at your club & give him work there after footy, a smart guy who could go into admin or such post footy, the kind Storm would want to keep. And if Staggs or Cobbo go anywhere it won’t be us. Cobbo most likely to move but my guess he’d stay up there or Rorters make him a huge offer. I’m not sure we’ll have as much to spend as we think either especially if we have to pay guys like Bateman & Bud to play elsewhere & upgrade Pole & Sione & sign another middle. But it’s the “silly season” so let’s see how it goes.

would not Suprise me

Gus came out and said Dogs would buy a few but it's all about developing within and that's how you win long term..

YET all he has done and buy buy buy..

Gotta feel for their juniors
