@tiger5150 Trust me a new coach will get a huge rise out of this bunch ! This is not that bad a roster ..

If they appointed a new coach now - they'd look like like a genius- as from this week on we have almost our full squad available for the first time this year.

Mind you if they stick with madge, he'll also look like a genius.

It always helps to have your best players in your team

Our strongest team of the year was on Saturday and we got absolutely creamed.

I didn't realise the AD, Twal, Nofa and Talau were playing.

Was our strongest team of the year and we conceded 44 points.

In the backs maybe. But in the forwards without Twal, definitely not our strongest.

@avocadoontoast to be fair though , most outside of Pascoe have been replaced .
He seriously needs to go as well .
You’ve got us financial , great , I was totally all for that as a reason to keep up …. But that was 2019 and it’s really a case of what have you done for me lately .
that was supposed to help the club be at the very least a more competitive team .
But the team has gone backwards , to the point I argue , are we just saving coin to make the books balance .

Would have made little difference.

I think Pascoe is hopeless and should be shown the door with Madge.

@celtic_tiger A decision from the club … these are the same people that can not make the simple decision to finally unit the supporter base after 20yrs and select one stadium for our home instead they have ended up with 6 home grounds .

As I have said many times before this club needs a leader with vision and the GUTS to enact what needs to be done .The club is headless hence the merry go round with everything they touch an extreme amateur bunch unfortunately.. no one wants to step up !

Snake, Im not sure if you have ever read the "One Home Ground" thread here or on any other Tigers forum, but its hardly a decision that "unites" the supporter base. I for one fork out for 4 memberships a year and would probably not do so with "one home ground". I could be wrong but I think I am not the only one.

@avocadoontoast I like the Ciraldo talk way more than the Flanagan stuff .

I think we have done the whole broom through the joint , change of plan , systems in place stuff , that really , potter was supposed to have done when he was in , and we need some kind of coach who appears to be on the cutting edge , because to me we always seem to have a coach who’s dated in his philosophy.
Where’s Seibold Lol

Ciraldo to Tigers, Fittler to the Dogs, Flannagan no where.

There have been many mistakes, and constantly hitting the reset button on the head coach position is not the answer. The only reason to move Madge on is if we can sign a much better prospect. I think Flanagan in particular is not the answer. People who want him describe him in many ways that Madge was described. Signing him would just be a crapper version of Madge with a whole lot more baggage!

The Broncos are turning it around quickly because they are the Broncos. They have the 3rd largest city in the country to themselves along with most of Queensland. To turn this club around is going to be a very long process.

The club is less of a shambles now than it was but we are known to be losers that change coaches and have CONSTANT drama year after year. There has to be stability. Brad Arthur had some pretty lean years at the Eels but now they are having success. Our junior development was poor for a few years and now it is getting back into shape, but again, that takes time. We have gone backwards on the ladder but seriously, the team is actually building now. We aren't just signing over the hill players that will jag us a win here or there to get to 9th place. We are now blooding young players to actually take us deep into semi finals in the future. For all the players that everyone bags out as "Not a first grader"...have a look at the age of some of them!

WT looking at Ciraldo and Ciraldo looking at us are 2 different things.

I'm not sold on Cilardo

The last 2 Panthers assistants Barrett X 2 and Brennan both failed.

He hasn't really good out and coached on his own yet.

Plus, I for one, after what cleary did, I couldn't trust his mate Cilarldo.

If we are going to sack Madge, I'd want a better coach than Cilardo

Lots of talk about Ciraldo. Can I ask: apart from being the media’s current darling, what has he actually accomplished as a coach?

It concerns me sometimes that we start to believe something to be true just because it’s repeated relentlessly by the media.

He was NYC coach of the year in 2015 and 2016 winning 2 minor premierships and one premiership, has won more NRL finals matches than Maguire in the last 5 years. He has a pretty  good lower grade coaching record but had some very good players in those teams. Was heavily involved in the Penrith pathways system and the Panthers Academy, that has produced some outstanding players. As a fulltime coach, who knows but he does have some good credentials.
