So, based on Lee’s comments - Sheens could recommend Pascoe goes???

What a circus (nice description Steve).

What about someone reviews Lee’s performance. How about wests Ashfield review the wests tigers board? Lee needs to shut up and go back to chasing ambulances.

So there’s a review demanded but it’s business as usual hey? What a load of crap.

Corporate governance of our beloved club is hopeless.

Drscribing Sheens as ‘the great man’ in the context of the conversation is flippant and inappropriate. It’s light hearted language when discussing the potential sacking of one or more employees. This fool is out of touch and is embarrassing.

He’s an embarrassment to the club and as a lawyer.

Couldn't agree more with this.

As a result of Sheen's comments yesterday and Lee's comments today we have created a whole new period of instability and uncertainty not only for Maguire but for players, coaches, members and sponsors.

We have left ourselves open to ridicule in the media, which we fully deserve, and it will be open season on the Tigers for the next few weeks from the usual suspects. The headlines practically write themselves.

How do you think our current playing squad is feeling right now, not to mention potential signings for next year. Are we really creating the best environment for them to succeed and flourish by talking up some mythical review which may or may not lead to the sacking of the coach six months after our last review concluded that we shouldn't sack him. For the love of God would someone just make a decision either way.

Who in their right mind would want to be associated with this rabble in any way, shape or form.

Beautifully put!

Ive voted and voiced my support for Madge in this thread, but as others have said, the decision is on a sliding scale depending on the potential replacement. We would all vote yes if it was for Bellamy, we'd all vote no if it was for the return of JT.

If Ciraldo knocked on the door.....I'd answer. Cant think of any others right now.

I'm a supporter of madge.

What I don't understand from those who want to get rid of him, is who replaces madge that's going to put us in a better position quicker?

Bellamy, Cilardo etc aren't coming to us. It's Flannagan or Green & Co- none of which are going to do better than madge is.

Meanwhile, Sattler in SEN just said that Warriors are watching closely as they may swoop in for Madge. I've also heard others say Bulldogs are interested in Madge.

There's not a huge coaching talent pool for those clubs working from the bottom. We've sacked how many coaches and our issues have never been fixed.

Best to get Madge, Sheens, Pascoe and the Board to not finger point, but all work together and finally pull this club out of this 10 year mess

They keep threatening Madge .....you wouldn't blame him if he bailed before he was sacked

This is exactly why I think Madge should go. He doesn’t get the support from the club and is constantly under review after review. How can a coach go about his business under those circumstances. It was clear to me a couple of years ago that he wasn’t supported, he was under pressure to pick continual underperformers who were on big contracts and then defend the team in post match press conferences. The board really needs a clean out, get some new people in who have vision.

And the circus just rolls on.

As everyone knows i'm not a fan of Madge, but if they're going to sack him they should have the decency to do it now, not drag this on for another week or two. This has been really poorly managed again.

But that’s the Wests Tigers way. Management are a major issue at the club, and many of them should go before Madge.

With the exception of Sheens I think everyone that's had anything to do with the club over the past 6 years should go. It's an embarrassment of a club.

Rent a quote is at it again. Maybe he should ask himself why the club won't share sensitive information when he compensates for his relevance deprivation syndrome by dumping on the club.

All this speculation has had me thinking, what would I expect to change this year with a change of coach? I wouldn't expect massive improvement in attack or defence to be honest. Typically, I would generally hope for an increase in effort and commitment and I my memory of the change over from Taylor this was the hope and what we got.

Trouble is, I think the effort and commitment is there already right now. Sure there could be better strategy, tactics, use of the bench etc, but these things arent going to manifest in a week, they will need best part of a year and definitely an offseason to kick in.

My point being, I dont see a new coach getting more effort or commitment out of the team where as we did with previous changeovers.

Maybe the decision to sack Maguire is a financial one: there was talk late last year that he had performance measures in his contract that meant the club didn’t have to pay him out his whole contract. Maybe he has a trigger for mid year and he’s failed it and this allows the club to terminate with him without paying out his whole contract. Just speculation on my part but it was weird that the club leaked the “must be on 10points by the bye” last we k and now we get “mid season review” publicly announced.

I agree. The only point in getting a new coach is if said coach comes with some quality players to boost our roster.

@celtic_tiger A decision from the club … these are the same people that can not make the simple decision to finally unit the supporter base after 20yrs and select one stadium for our home instead they have ended up with 6 home grounds .

As I have said many times before this club needs a leader with vision and the GUTS to enact what needs to be done .The club is headless hence the merry go round with everything they touch an extreme amateur bunch unfortunately.. no one wants to step up !

If they appointed a new coach now - they'd look like like a genius- as from this week on we have almost our full squad available for the first time this year.

Mind you if they stick with madge, he'll also look like a genius.

I didn't realise the AD, Twal, Nofa and Talau were playing.

Was our strongest team of the year and we conceded 44 points. Souths were missing Latrell Mitchell.

Straight facts.
