He has to get one season with his best recruits ...that is only fair ....no finals ...then gut , cut and quarter him
Are you talking next year? 18 months away?
Yeah 5150 ...he finally has the quality players he wanted in 2023 ..he deserves to see if he can turn them into a Top 8 side
For me it depends on how we finish out the year.
Unfortunately this reveiw comes as we finally get a nearly fully fit squad - for the first time this year, just when we could actually assess how madge is going .
If Madge does survive the review, what affect will it have on the squad and madges authority for the remaining of the year?
If they do struggle, how can you tell if it was madges coaching and not the damaging effect of the boards review?

The year was always going to be ugly mate .....probably the ugliest on record .....I will take this one final hit to my humility ....
Players have to keep putting in, if we have a year where they just give up like the end of last year, then I am done.

I suppose the dumb question is this ...why even tell anyone you are doing a review ......we need the no more gaps to stop the leaks .....or have at least 5 compartments filled with water and the band is playing on the deck ....

Doesn't matter, if the team gives up and stops progressing forward then he has to go.

And having a review just signs Madge's pink slip ....the club and the board are obviously doing this to try and come out smelling like roses in my opinion ....tell Lee and Pascoe they are an embaraassment ... lets sack Madge the gutless way and support player power yet again .....

As I have said, I wouldn't have looked at moving him on until the end of the year.

If the squad was showing signs of being Top 4 material I'd agree .....they couldn't even set a standard with some line speed for 5 minutes in our most important game of the season v Souths .....these players don't deserve respect ......
I reckon if Madge goes it may be the end of my support fior this club unless they come up with a major upgrade in coach ....

Still has to be progress forward mate, we can't keep going backwards.

Not blasting you mate .....this club has almost done my head in unfortunately .....when you get beaten because the team you are playing against is prepared to run harder ...tackle harder and give a poo about their fan and their own performance .....
And the other thing that angers me ......why can't we make this squad the fittest side in the comp ...why do we continually run out of physical gas and mental gas in virtually every game ....

I completely agree.
If Sheens is in there, surely he doesn't need to conduct a 2 week reveiw - you'd think hed have a position by now.
If he's position is to sack madge, the don't announce a review - wait until you have a new coach lined up and swifly and professionally replace the coach.
If Sheens thinks madge need more time or if he supports madge, don't announce or undertake a formal reveiw at all.
My only thought is the board is undecided and twitchy and have asked Sheens for a reveiw. If the board announce 2nd reveiw and madge survives again - that incredibly bad governance for the board and they need to announce a review on themselves and all step down

Ive voted and voiced my support for Madge in this thread, but as others have said, the decision is on a sliding scale depending on the potential replacement. We would all vote yes if it was for Bellamy, we'd all vote no if it was for the return of JT.
If Ciraldo knocked on the door.....I'd answer. Cant think of any others right now.
I'm a supporter of madge.
What I don't understand from those who want to get rid of him, is who replaces madge that's going to put us in a better position quicker?
Bellamy, Cilardo etc aren't coming to us. It's Flannagan or Green & Co- none of which are going to do better than madge is.
Meanwhile, Sattler in SEN just said that Warriors are watching closely as they may swoop in for Madge. I've also heard others say Bulldogs are interested in Madge.
There's not a huge coaching talent pool for those clubs working from the bottom. We've sacked how many coaches and our issues have never been fixed.
Best to get Madge, Sheens, Pascoe and the Board to not finger point, but all work together and finally pull this club out of this 10 year mess
They keep threatening Madge .....you wouldn't blame him if he bailed before he was sacked

I cant get beyond the thought that letting everyone know about the review is intentional and if so, not good for Madge. As (Ithink) Avo said earlier in the thread, Sheens has been a vocal supporter of Madge in tougher times than now and this change cant bode well IMO.
Opening the Overton window I think.

One of the articles said they called Lee who directed all press enquires to Sheens.
I suspect someone's leaked the review at board or exec level - and Sheens has been caught having to be the face of it.
If Sheens was behind it, I would hope he'd have the respect for a coach to do a rveeiw quietly behind closed doors rather than being all over the papers
