In all the doom and gloom hitting the forum as the hopes of a competitive season turn to vapor.....surely there must be some green shoots of optimism we can cling to?

Ill start......

We look fitter than previous years with Madges teams usually gassing out after 25-30mins first half......

Now you go.....

Instead of being infuriated with Nofo I now appreciate his inclusion for comedic value. He’s like Jar Jar Binks.

jar Jar Binks is a perfect analogy. I wish someone got a video of his dance last week when Titans dropped a ball (only to be overturned to a Tits penalty on a challenge).

Kepaoa is a much better version of garner/cheekam on the bench.

Reason to be cheerful - for some reason I still have this hunch we are going to come good at some point this season. I can't say why, perhaps eternal optimism, but I am not convinced that this team will play so bad all year.

In fact we are used to the Tigers starting fairly well then fading badly as the season goes on. Maybe for once we'll recover our bad start and develop something of a decent season. Just need to get that first win over and build the confidence, because blokes like Stefano and IP are not anything as bad as they played the first 2 weeks, which can only be confidence.

I actually think the same thing. Player for player across the ground, we are simply too good to be this bad. We need to get used to each other, or something and it will "click". I fear the season will be over by then and we have thrown away two games against opposition that everyone else will beat, so we are a long way behind.

Already IMO, at best, this year could be about setting up for next year which is what I was expecting anyway, but I didnt expect to be this far behind the rest.

We’ve had such a big shake up to our roster it doesn’t really surprise that the team hasn’t gelled yet. Extremely disappointing yes, especially when I felt so optimistic. But that the roster is so much better than performances would indicate simply means that we will come good once combinations and understanding develops.

The coaching staff are smart men, they will also find their best fit.

The encouraging thing for me is the start our KOE Cup boys have had.

Only 5 wins last year and 2/2 already this year.

First grade is going how I hoped it wouldn’t.

The Wests Tigers were, to me at least, a mystery before the Knights game and still are now. I have no idea what to expect. I can guess we will probably miss the 8 again but that was going to be difficult anyway, it’s still very difficult. But can we improve enough to win 8-10 games this year? That remains, to me, a mystery because they can improve on what we’ve seen but how much? I find that a little intriguing and it brings me some cheerfulness that surprises could still be coming, hopefully good surprises.

Player for player across the ground, we are simply too good to be this bad

WT have serious Leichhardt Oval Yips.

The Players know they are expected to be winning there yet the home ground advantage has become a curse to all things WT.

Newcastle played like some sort of team possessed, the more men they lost the more tackling energy the ones remaining gained.

The Football Gods have forsaken us, WT are suffering some serious Bad Juju.

I think the Podcast Team needs to get down there next full moon, perform some sort of internet researched exorcism/sacrifice to appease the Gods.

This sort of suffering cant go on.

I also think that at because of the media hype about the crown influence at Leichhardt, every LO game the ref is tougher on the Tigers to show them that the ref wont be intimidated.

Leichhardt really isnt a home ground for us in the way that other home grounds are for our rivals.

Romantically it may be, but we dont play good footy there and opposition teams view it as just another rectangle of land where they can stomp us out.
