No way can we let morris go this year. The big clubs don’t let their assistants out early and neither should we.
I doubt they would want Morris to start this year, and he would be crazy to accept, its a poisoned chalice for a relatively inexperienced coach, they have Ben Hornby who can hold the fort for the remainder of the year while they go after Bennett, Bellamy or Burgess. Also having a short term coach may mean that they can use him to make a few hard calls before the long term coach comes on. "journos" will be nominating every conceivable option, especially those that can destabilize the teams they seem to have it in for. My money is on Burgess starting next season with Wayne as football manager. Only caveat is that Burgess was bad mouthing the coach and a few players to anyone that would listen, so very poor form from him....I have a few mates that played golf with him regularly and he was very open about his views.
Very few coaches would be able to manage latrell and walker. Bennett and Bellamy obviously but that is a very tough role. Burgess had the personality to crash through but no guarantee of success. Morris would be stupid to take that role after being chewed up by the sharks after a similar situation
Morris should be coaching first grade somewhere he did well at Sharks

good idea Demetriou seems like a good X's and O's coach just not a man manager
Dunno about JD. He was never a Tiger. Todd Payten was though and would make an excellent part of the team if the Cowboys let him go.

we definitely need to move away from only employing ex-tigers. It needs to be the best person for the job
