There will be applications spewing out of the printer as we speak ! You would not care less if you were the second choice after getting a gig to coach in the NRL got to be positive at this juncture !

And there in lies a major issue. A conflict of interest you might say.
All our ‘big name’ pursuits have failed. Maybe show discretion when negotiating. Maybe also have two or three public options (with public tours), to show your true target that the club is a desirable to others.
Where to next? If this doesn’t prompt changes in the clubs admin and board, then there is no accountability and mediocrity will ensue. In particular the constant leaking through the media and catapulting of the clubs next ‘moves’.
In terms of coaching, take a punt on a young coach. Someone with fresh ideas and perspective. Importantly, someone who can connect with the players and bring out the best in them.
It should also be noted that we gave Ciraldo six hours behind our lines - he would know the ins and outs of the operation and now takes that back to Penrith, and maybe Bulldogs - two direct competitors.

This is beyond ridiculous. I'm always hating on the NRL media for ripping us apart all the time but for Christ's sake stop giving them ammo. We look like complete desperate amateurs AGAIN!
If Ciraldo is waiting for a top 8 team then it again shows the gap between the haves and have nots in the league. If he accepts the dogs job then heads need to roll in this club

If that’s the case they’ve totally lost the plot and no doubt a lot of members with it.
I guess if their desperate…And their line of thinking is why not hire a Coach that will do anything to win….Then Flanagan definitely has that on his CV.

We have a new COE, offered a 5 year deal and I'm sure the money was above rate - and we got rejected.
Maybe he looked at the roster, maybe he looked at Sheens, maybe he looked at the board or maybe he looked at a long history of mediocrity. It doesn't really matter, we're clearly a very unattractive proposition.
They had better pull a big rabbit out of a hat soon. So many fans turning away (not me but I must be a sucker)

It's been that way for ages. This is a good outcome for us in a couple of ways.
1. Ciraldo was a laughable option as head coach.
2. It exposes the incompetence in our football management team. I think Sheens is the worse and Pascoe a close 2nd. Lee hasn't opened his peep hole so I don't think he looks as stupid although he has done the same thing in the past.
