This is a terrible indictment for this club … it is time that a couple of personnel are shown the door .. Pascoe the Chairman or both . To be frank Sheens is party to this as well . The fact that CC wants no part of the club is not the issue .. the issue is these three individuals are driven by there egos and now have treated the supporter base as fools and now we will have to wear the brunt of the joke of the league it just goes on and on .
Time these fools were moved on from our club , for good sake this is the ultimate in ineptitude honestly?

I find it so frustrating as a member of this club that we get so let down by HQ with the lack of information.
The WestsTigers members should be informed first on major events such as this.

@tigerlily We had a gut full last season with the way the club is run or not run really well ! We opted out of our long term memberships this year and to be frank we are happy we did and now just reinforces our decision. I totally agree with your sentiments and this part is all Pascoes area and his derelict of his duty as CEO , if he was on top of his game this should not happen ., he should be removed next week by the board !

It just felt so similar to JAC and Latrell
The issue isn't Cilardo not coming (because at the end of the day he's an untested assistant coach)
The issue is the way the Chair, CEO and GM all went about this:
1. Sack madge with no replacement lined up
2. Kill our season halfway through- which puts us in a weaker position in attracting coach and players
3. Being so so so public about Cilardo - not exploring other options - it's amateur -
4 and the biggest thing, is thus has happened before- multiple times - they haven't learnt the lesson and that's why there needs to be changes at Board or CEO level
And to think I was actually really excited about the back end of this year and I was expecting finals next year under madge.......

This comes as no surprise and essentially panned out as I predicted.
Offering 5 years and publicly declaring their target reeked of sheer desperation. I doubt desperation is the quality a first time head coach would be looking for in a club.
Sacking Madge without a signed, sealed and delivered replacement is mind-numbingly stupid. I actually doubt Pascoe has much to do with it but I suspect Lee and Sheens have their fingerprints all over it.
It really is a new low, it's laughably amateurish. Anyone now is second choice, I'm sure that will make them feel special. God help us if we end up with Kimmorley - nothing he has said or done speaks highly for a coaching future.
Gus outplayed us perfectly, didn't try to match the 5 year deal (said it was a bad idea) and showed zero desperation. For mine, a smarter move would have been signing Gus and sacking Sheens. Sheens is yesterday's man, we need tomorrow's. Gus can be a prickly bloke but he knows football.

I genuinely think Pascoe had little to do with the coaching fiasco. He's an administrator and the entire reason Sheens was brought back (and consulted for much of last season) was to change the way the football department was run.
If you want to sack Pascoe because he signed Sheens I'd go along with it. I think the board got impatient, wanted something done, and Sheens obliged with a blind suicide pact.
Madge is probably having a quiet chuckle in a beer paid for with his paid out contract.
The club has been contacted by Cameron Ciraldo and his management this afternoon and they have advised the club that he is not in a position to accept the role of Head Coach at this juncture in his career.
Whilst disappointing, we respect his decision, and we will continue with the selection process in appointing our club’s Head Coach.

Sheens should be looking after the pathways. His initial appointment at the end of last year. That’s an ideal role for him. There is no way he should be Generally Manager of football operations.
