I hope its true, but its been drama galore on and off the field since the 7 hours meeting/facility tour. Its so WTs - why would he come?

Put yourself in Ciraldo's shoes ...exactly right ...why would you risk everything to come here ......it would be a ballsy call ...I wouldn't do it and I'm a fan

He’ll at least have some cash to splash given the exodus of forwards,Lucy,Kelma,Garner,Mikaele, and a couple off contract. So from the get go he has true input into what he envisions for the make up of the team. That’s not a bad carrot for a “development”coach I believe.

How many times do fans have to hear about our "war chest " for the next season and how we will have superstars in every position lining up hooting and hollering to join the WT's

One more time?

The trick is the coach. IMO a "war chest" would be useful if we sign a coach who has the trust and respect of the wider NRL (Ciraldo) and then it may mean something. If we get a coach that players are not confident with, particularly in our poor state, the war chest could actuall be a problem because the new coach is basically forced to spend it on whatever he can get.....REynolds, Packer, Mbye, Tui etc

Can we get the Ciraldo thought out of our heads

It won't happen ...same as the JAC ...Latrell .....Munster etc ...just our egotistical Chairman getting illogical visions of granduer again

Are you joining Eddie in the wearing of a dress if we sign him?

Eddie and I can share the same dress with suspenders ...fishnets..high heels .....Sheens will be coaching again

Huge call (not the dress bit 😆)

What’s all this cross dressing talk??😂

Looks like CC is staying put by reports tonight … this is going to be very interesting where the club will  go now, plan B I suppose .

With the spoon beckoning this could get ugly for the club as the supporter base has had enough!

thinking it will be Ciraldo and Barrett ad an assistant. Downside will be Hastings will go elsewhere and we are stuck with Douhie and Brooks in halves

I’m in the minority here but I’m neither here nor there on Hastings. Granted he’s been playing behind poor packs, but his performances have been very underwhelming. He’s too slow.

I’d be shocked if Brooks was here next year. Not 1st grade standard.

If true we’re gonna look pretty dumb after publicly gushing over him.

What makes no sense is that I don’t know how saying what they said could have gained us any advantage. Now the club (if this is true) looks ridiculous and has the job of trying to spin a plan B appointment.

YOu are probably right, but you left a key part out of the process of Plan B.

Plan B is to go to Flanagan/Morris/Woolf/Kimmorley/Whoever after very publicly announcing to everyone that you didnt want them and that they would be an after thought. That might work.

Im with you Avo. My feel is that if we end up with a coach other than Ciraldo, we desperately need to hang onto Hastings because although he isnt the messiah, he is the best we've got and had for a long while. If we ended up with Ciraldo, in a long contract, I'm not as fussed because I would have confidence in attracting/developing better.

Ive been a long time Brooks fan, but even I realise Im now swimming upstream and Brooks is still making bad errors in his game which are unacceptable after all this time. He does still do good things in each game as well that we wil miss.

The reason I've chimed in here is your correct point about Hastings being too slow. IMO the one single solitary new tactic we have this year with Hastings, that has made a real difference to our attack at times, is that one move where Hastings jogs across field and we quickly change the point of attack by Brooks racing across to the same side from the other side. That has been effective and has been dangerous when we pull it off, and is only possible due to Brooks relative speed.

Or Plan C , D or even E ...who may be worse than Madge

Or maybe that is Plan F .....we re-sign Madge back and say the original decision was to see if he was really committed to the club .....

As Helmesy said ....we should have had our ducks all in a row before we sacked Madge ....and then the next question ...who made this call ....Sheens , Pascoe , Lee H

I just voted for Flanagan. I'll support whoever they get but the idea of CC being some sort of a messiah astounds me. I think Flanagan is a better option.
