I agree, but with conflicting reports of meetings between Ciraldo and the admin there could be something in it, especially when we seem to be making player movements ie Peachey.

Oh I hope he is telling the truth, but the same guy knew Cotric was coming here and as far as Im aware has a zero strike rate despite pumping himself up as in the know ;-). THe same guy also said a few hours earlier that Ciraldo was definitely not coming. Same day he is telling everyone that Ciraldo is in the building.
I hope its true, but its been drama galore on and off the field since the 7 hours meeting/facility tour. Its so WTs - why would he come?
2:30pm came and went Garry, just saying.
Lol I'm still confident
Im less and less confident.
The only reason I have any confidence is because the way it has been set up with a series of statements, my feeling is surely our management cant be that incompetent, that it must mean we have him hooked. Then I remember Latrell etc and I get less confident. Cleary's interview makes me almost despondent.
I know this sounds dramatic, but if they miss Ciraldo, the way it has been managed, I genuinely think that it might be the end for me. I cant support that level of incompetence. If they get him, Im on board.
If they don't sign Ciraldo it won't be the end of supporting the club for me. It might mean a bit of hibernation/zero care factor though.
But I totally agree on your thoughts of the process they seem to have undertaken. To sack the coach without another lined up at such a critical time makes the level of incompetency absolutely mind boggling to me. No doubt Sheens can spin a number of reasons to validate it but the bottom line is extremely poor business practice.

Put yourself in Ciraldo's shoes ...exactly right ...why would you risk everything to come here ......it would be a ballsy call ...I wouldn't do it and I'm a fan

He’ll at least have some cash to splash given the exodus of forwards,Lucy,Kelma,Garner,Mikaele, and a couple off contract. So from the get go he has true input into what he envisions for the make up of the team. That’s not a bad carrot for a “development”coach I believe.

True - I hope that's why we are doing what we are doing. But this is WT so you never know.
Depends on what he is after and how the club is being sold to him and who is in his ear.
"Hey Cameron look here: new COE, Sheensy can help you out, not many of the current players are signed long-term, heaps of cash and we have some great juniors coming. It is pretty much a clean slate to do what you want" is very different to "We can't beat the wooden spooners, please help"

How many times do fans have to hear about our "war chest " for the next season and how we will have superstars in every position lining up hooting and hollering to join the WT's
@tiger5150 Why would they meet at the COE it’s a building site .. would not the meetings take place at the Temp administrative site shed .. I take any of those posts as dodgy at best !

Considering the source, my assumption would be dodgy.....but by the same token, the temp sheds are effectively on the same block of land, its all Tigers HQ.

One more time?
The trick is the coach. IMO a "war chest" would be useful if we sign a coach who has the trust and respect of the wider NRL (Ciraldo) and then it may mean something. If we get a coach that players are not confident with, particularly in our poor state, the war chest could actuall be a problem because the new coach is basically forced to spend it on whatever he can get.....REynolds, Packer, Mbye, Tui etc
