102 players out injured ...working off 480 players ( 16 clubs @30 players a squad ) = 21 % out missing

We have 12 out .....

That’s pretty remarkable that there are so many out injured!

That’s a crazy stat, not sure if it’s an anomaly because it seems to get worse every year. I don’t remember injuries being so common 20-30 years back. Can’t be the playing surface or the sports science which are so much better now. Maybe the players are getting too big and the speed has gone up too much needing a real power game.

Has to be the speed, strength and added skills (like the wrestle moves etc) that are the difference.

You’re right about the old days, a season ending injury was pretty rare.

Only 40 years ago that ACLs retired you

Even now it is such a devastating injury, seem to be getting much more frequent.

Exactly ..how many players have now had multiple ACL's ....we have 3 players with 2 ACL's from memory

It is so common people seem to forget what a tough comeback an ACL is, some players never get back and most are not the same player for 12 months after their return.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

We desperately need our pathways to hep with talented outside backs in next couple of years.

Other clubs like the Cowboys and Penrith have climbed rapidly through developing some of their own hence helping their cap as well.
