How Garner is even being talked about is staggering. Tuilagi has been one of our best in both trials.

Yes I like the addition of Starford but not sure where he fits at the moment, even if you could make the argument he outplayed Nofoaluma in the trial.

I'm biased because I can't stand him, but even trying to watch the trials objectively Nofo was awful. He add nothing. To'a on the other hand seems pretty fast, has height and a good attitude.

I agree. Hopefully he gets a shot.

Noffa is the incumbent and in my view starts.Starford was solid enough in the trials but will have to display a whole lot more than that to displace either 2 or 5.Noffa is still a damn good winger, has great hands and an exceptional finisher, even though much maligned.

Not a chance Noffa doesn’t get picked Round 1. Has the seal of the Chairman

I know 2021 wasn’t a great year for Noff, compared to his dynamic 2020, and there was the incident where he foolishly got involved in social media spats with fans. That was naive and stupid.

In defence of Noffa, and I know he’s made some clangers, but I do believe at times he has been the scapegoat for the general malaise of our backline and has been unfairly singled out for our defensive woes.

I think he's terribly overrated. When he was starting out I thought he was a really good player. Would make big metres in the middle and was a very good finisher. Was never a good defender but had some really good attributes that compensated for it. I think Nofo's problem now is in his head (or rather the size of it). He's doing none of the things he used to do well, but still does all the bad things. For fans of the movie Major League, Nofo reminds me of Roger Dorn.

Of course you’re entitled to your opinion but I don’t in all objectivity  believe his form sunk to the depths that you insinuate,so I guess it’s all up to Noffa to decide the issue on the field, starting next Saturday night.Go Tiges!

Noffa scores tries that other wingers simply can't do so big tick

However his defence over 7 or 8 years has been simply disgraceful and it never seems to matter who is at centre or inside him.

Hope starford toa goes well and replaces nofo and he looks elsewhere as he is sick of Magpies nsw cup alas Lee H loves him

I maintain the reason it never seems to matter who is at centre or inside him is that they have for the most part been pretty average performers. We have had virtually no positional stability in our backline for years, even Adam Douehi has had some glaring defensive lapses. Its easy to lambast Noffa being last man.

Hopefully, with Hastings arrival we’re in the process of stiffening things up.
