Hooker Jacob Liddle suffered a knee injury during the first half of the side’s win at Central Coast Stadium.
Scans on Liddle’s knee have revealed a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tear, with club medical staff expecting the 25-year-old to miss between four and six weeks with the injury.

It’s a shame for this to happen… we can’t take a trick as a club. Nor can Jacob either though. Be an interesting selection now and whether Rua gets an upgrade I suppose. Interests will also be with team selection tomorrow week. I somehow think Maguire will go with 9 Peachey 14 Simpkin
I would go the opposite way because I’m not sure of Tyrone as a dummy half. Kind of reminds me of Mbye days at 9. On Rua, it might be a tough call two rookies taking on the job, but it might just be the right call and leave Peach at 13.

With Hastings and Peachey we have some options around the bench use. I’d be expecting Simpkin to start and then there being a rotation.
It would be great if Rua was ready and is the player we think he might be - we’re due a real diamond to come through.

Very disappointing news. I’m a big fan of Liddle and after a poor last season I was hoping he would find form this year. We need a nine and don’t really have one. There is young talent coming through but they are not quite ready for NRL. Having said that, this is a great opportunity for Simpkin to step up.
