Wests Tigers chairman Lee Hagipantelis has been re-appointed for another three years after gaining unanimous support from his fellow board members.
Hagipantelis was re-elected at a board meeting on Monday and will now remain in the hot seat at the club until at least the end of 2026.
This is terrible news. As others have stated - what is the point of having the review if the board is going to continue to promote self interests in the meantime?
FWIW I was looking at a property a few weeks ago and by coincidence it was listed by 12 year WT board member Tony Andreacchio. I called him to ask about the property and at the end of the call I mentioned that I was a WT member. I was ready to unload on the bloke but tried to be respectful
"Tony after 12 years of failure with you on the board, is it time you give someone else a go?"
To each of my points he replied with 'you might be right' and he almost sniggered. He didn't try to debate me or defend himself.
From the call it became clear to me that this clown has the job for as long as he wants it. There won't be any changes to the club administration unless someone dies.
It's obviously a Claytons Review. Re- appointing a Chairman, in the middle of a Review, is unbelievable, and really disappointing as a Member.

That's looking the most likely option. If the Board loved this Club as much as we all do, they'd know they are unfit for the role.

Lee was on the radio circa 36 hrs ago and specifically mentioned that they were holding off on the football manager appointment out of respect to the review process. He did not mention anything about the board being re-elected. It's not exactly a lie but it's dishonesty through omission at very best.
He/them are treating the fanbase with absolute disdain. Even down to leaking this out around the same time of the Bula re-signing in the hope that it'd get glossed over.

the worst part is that Benny makes a lot of sense in this clip. This is the most disgraceful abuse of the club that I have ever witnessed. There is an ongoing independent review into club governance by the owner of the club after years of decay and disaster and the Chairman gives a big “up yours” to the process. We are an absolute basket case.

How the hell does an organisation reappoint a Chairman who is a major sponsor for 3 years when a review has been ordered?
Seems like the current board rushing through a few favours while they still can.
