Just back on the sth coast, glad I went! Disappointing that we couldn't march but the speakers were articulate, and the Unite outcome is a good initiative. Hopefully it can be built into a group that can exert more pressure.

Thanks to those who organised.

Kudos to those who organised and attended the rally today. I'm not sure what I expected but it probably included numbers in the 1000s, not the 100s as was the reality. Me, and others, expected a march to Wests Ashfield to focus their attention on the outraged masses outside. I'm not sure why that didn't happen. Although I did arrive a bit larer than 10.30am and it may have been explained before i got there?

amazing that the other forum is down on the morning of the rally. Will be interesting to hear from Kul if it was a ddos attack...

Hats of to everyone putting up a fight against HBG. Thank you @joel. Its disappointing to hear so many weak people amongst us that just want to roll-over and take it from behind.

Well that sort of comment belongs on that other forum. I'm disappointed that you posted it here.

Woah, Woah, Woah....hang on am I reading this right?

The point of the rally today, teh point of this Wests Tigers Fan Unite WR code thing, and the "fight" that we are going to keep up, with the ultimatum being the trial at Leichhardt......is to "give fans a say on the board"? Really? Like what, a fan voice on the board? Is this real?

If so this is the most ridiculous overreach todate in this long sorry saga.

I dont want ANY fans having a say on the board. I want damn professionals that know what they are doing on the board.

I thought the focus of this was to get back to an independent board and stop HBG regaining control.

Am I reading this right?

WA contacted the organisers and played the safety card. A bit of overreach in my opinion but 1000 odd people and heavy traffic did carry some risk. I liked how Darcy said the WA staff weren’t at risk, and that we loved them, just the folk in the boardroom had a case to answer. That was in response to what that turd Paton said a week or so ago. Touché Darcy.

No that is not the point of the rally.

Exactly. I think what most fans want is governance structure change.

it does not need to be fans on the board… what it does need to change to the board being voted in and accountable to and by fans/members.

To get our club to operate in a similar way that most other NRL clubs operate.
