Benji, and I suspect the squad, will grit their teeth and be more connected because of this. That’s my feeling anyway, he’s not a loser and the boys want to prove themselves. He has his assistants & staff to think of as well, they’re all working hard to improve and be the ones who get this club back into finals again. It’s a setback but in sport you get setbacks, some major, and they overcome them because of their nature as athletes and competitors. I’ve been fortunate to see them all at training several times over the past week or so and they’re a very enthusiastic group, long may it continue. This will test them and it could make or break them. But there’s some strong minded leaders there & that will help.dunno. I would if I was in his shoes. I completely agree that HBG have created another negative story about WT NRL and that's why we have to be at the rally on Saturday. I'm not concerned by Richardson leaving. He would have done what is best for him, that's how he operates. And, I don't buy all the comments about turmoil that it will cause for Marshall and the squad. They won't care. Everyone there would have already paid their entry fee - HBG don't care what happens after that.
this is very good. What Barnier does here is make an arguement very clearly that it must be inevitable that the NRL has to step in. We need this type of clarifying arguement to actually force the NRL into action. They say they will protect the fans but what have they done? It is 10s of thousands of fans against 25 demented debenture holders. the NRL needs to act right now before the HBg moves quickly to paper over the cracks and everyone disappears onto christmas holidays. The next week is crucial.

Agree. Mielekamp is a fantastic operator, but he does not have anywhere near the necessary experience to take on a job of this stature. As per above, we someone with a huge amount of runs on the board. Unfortunately, these guys are few and far between, and doubtful they'd even consider walking in the door with this clown show in situ.
There's still more to come on this - the NRL will react in some shape or form. I can't see them letting HBG just load the WT board with their own flunkies (eg members of D Burgess's extended family).
I'm not ready to throw the towel in yet. I've picked it up and checked the weight, but it's still in hand.
