@jirskyr it’s news because it’s unprofessional conduct and it’s talked about because it’s an example of why the place is amateurish and can’t move from the bottom of the ladder.
You can ignore the problems all you want and talk about cycles in teams going up and down. However evidence is there that the board and leaders of this club are hurting this club. It’s your choice to read and believe what you want but people can also react to things how they see them.
You're assuming that Sheens and Marshall are united. I'm not so sure. Not sure how sheens and Benji will be able to roll Lee/Pascoe/Fulton. Sheens lost all power when he made himself coach and his performance review occurred on the field each week.
Funny how Sheens isn’t invited to today’s meeting.
He’s the head of football and head coach, could be a sign he won’t be here much longer.

Something has to happen. It can’t be “let’s hold hands and try and work together” when the Head Coach isn’t invited!!!!!!
but this is wests tigers so Lee will probably go on NRL 360 and say we had a “robust and elegant conversation where we all expressed our sincere love for the club and agreed to work in unison, post haste, to work towards the enduring success of the organisation”
I think we're in for a tough day.
Buckle up guys, ugly times.
@helmesy I hope Pascoe joins him. We an CEO that can keep Lee in line and out of the public eye, stick to a plan. Shane Richardson would be great. Not sure if Benji is the best choice for a head coaching role, needs to do an apprenticeship first, like all coaches. Two years is not long enough and under different head coaches.

The way I read the report, I think everyone is overestimating this meeting. I think its a meeting to try to get Fulton & Benji to play nicely together like two schoolkids
I’d say Sheens isn’t involved because all signings need to be signed off by Benji as he is the coach for 2025 and beyond. Sheens is a bit irrelevant for any signings now unless they are only for 2024
I think we're in for a tough day.

I think we will all be underwhelmed and disappointed.Again.

I tend to agree

Other forum saying that on SEN today it was reported that Pascoe is holding separate meetings today with Marshall and Fulton. With Pascoe as mediator expect things to get a lot worse.
Also, apparently Ray Hadley said this morning Sheens should be sacked and Fulton should have the say on who they sign, not the coach. Pascoe and Lee did a great job bringing this guy to the club.
Justin Pascoe holds talks with Benji Marshall, Scott Fulton
Justin Pascoe has held separate talks with warring Wests Tigers officials Benji Marshall and Scott Fulton after opting against a planned crisis meeting.

Wests Tigers chief executive Justin Pascoe has held individual meetings with Benji Marshall and Scott Fulton, where it is believed he received a commitment from the pair that they could work together.
Sources close to the discussions confirmed that Pascoe held separate talks with the pair on Monday morning as he looked to strike a peace deal between the warring club officials.
It is understood the trio emerged from those talks having agreed to lay down their guns and work together for the benefit of the club. Marshall and Fulton have butted heads over the club’s pursuit of several players, prompting suggestions that they were unable to work together.
Pascoe had initially planned to hold a meeting with both where they would thrash out their differences but decided to hold separate talks with the duo.
Marshall, who is due to take over as head coach from Tim Sheens at the end of next season, was front and centre as the team trained at their Concord Oval base on Monday morning.
The players and coaches were running about 10 minutes late, although it is not known whether the delay was related to Marshall’s meeting with Pascoe.
Marshall, dressed in Tigers gear with a piece of paper in his hands, played a prominent role in the session as the club prepared for Thursday night’s ‘battle for the spoon’ against St George Illawarra.
He jumped in and played the role of halfback at times during the session as he played a hands-on role in preparing the side for the Dragons game.
The lead-up to that match has been dominated by more speculation over the relationship between Marshall and Fulton. the recruitment guru who was brought in by the club to oversee their pursuit of players.
He and Marshall have been at odds over a handful of recruitment decisions, the latest talk that the club could sign Aiden Sezer to play in the halves next season.
No need for crisis meeting guys. Pascoe has fixed everything.

Of course they can react - I just think some episodes are over-reactions. Dissecting whether or not Lee H made a snide comment about Alan Jones, for example, is IMO an over-reaction. The comment was "Alan Jones 2 Lee H 0"; how boring, tallying up the back and forward between two blow-hards. I don't really care about what either Alan Jones or Lee H said, and it's an exchange easily ignored, but people refuse to do it.
I think there is harm in continually jumping on the club at any opportunity. This is how some people react in a crisis and I do not think it is constructive.
And I am differentiating between the general consensus, in this case, that Lee H has a weak public image (I don't think that is in doubt) with continual commentary about how weak he is. You can calmly say "it's time for Lee to step down" without harping on about how much you dislike him, every opportunity. About his hat and his suits etc. I'm kind of sick of hearing about it.
Even the Petition that is going around, it is asking for a methodical external review of club operations and management; a very reasonable, pragmatic, realistic request. Nothing hysterical or unreasonable about it. BUT if you read the Petition threads (here and the other forum) in places they have become a hotbed of ongoing discontent and argument. People flocking to these threads to shriek at the latest indiscretion or negative rumour.
So it's not about ignoring problems, it's about recognising that harping on about identified problems does not bring them to a resolution. There is a mechanism in progress of fans attempting to pressure a change in the management, and it's probably the only realistic mechanism that fans and members have. But it's a slow process, and I don't think we get anywhere agitating, day-to-day, about how discontent we are, or about how much of a buffoon Lee is. It loses sight of the bigger picture.
And the worst part is it's all speculative. I preferred the days where we mostly spoke about football, even when we weren't winning. But the forums these days are more often about speculation and off-field; theories about front-office egos, the power of player managers, cronyism and favouritism. It's got a life of its own, entirely separate from the actual footy, and almost entirely made up.
