Tyrell and Api….not too sure what May is wearing but looks like a handbag. Think I’m getting old peeps 😐Luai and Api are on the footy show tonight...that will be interesting.
Pointless stunt this tbh…especially if the bruddas come out and stink it up🤷♂️Tito just posted a picture of him and Api with the Fainu boys...they all look really happy, smiling from ear to ear, with the caption "bruddas" I wonder why?😎
Getting pretty fed up with this club!
where do we find this
Just want to add two points on Galvin:
- Don’t blame the manager — he’s acting on instructions.
- Let’s be real: the kid has been destabilising the club for 18 months. His behaviour has been unprofessional. Getting your agent to hand the club a dossier of grievances with Benji? That’s a joke.
It’s obvious he wants to be the main man, and from what I’ve heard, his old school coach has told him the Bulldogs will give him that.
insta feed of both Tito and samuela. I like it, shows solidarity. Let's hope these boys continue to gel and move forward as a team.Pointless stunt this tbh…especially if the bruddas come out and stink it up🤷♂️Tito just posted a picture of him and Api with the Fainu boys...they all look really happy, smiling from ear to ear, with the caption "bruddas" I wonder why?😎

One thing I'm wondering is if we make it a part of his release that he does not play against us this season. Part of me wants him to so the boys smash him, however without Galvin playing for them we would still struggle against the dogs and you know the whole thing will be about him if they do win.

I hope richo has the clause in he can't play against tigers for rest of 2025
I think we’ll have improved the squad. We certainly have improved the culture (Galvin was the exception). Luai & Tito have been good, Tito better than good. Can’t recall who were our wingers last year. Terrell, no more needs to be said or written. Skelton very good when fit. Hunt & Bird have had good moments. Still a ways to go but I’d argue we’ve improved the squad from what it was.I think we’ll be front loading contracts to ensure we can bring in 2 or 3 good players 2026. Might bring in some squad fillers now though.I don't see the point of this transfer fee. We need FG ready players - we can't keep shipping guys off with no one coming in.
I don't think that's good enough. We are paper thin as it stands. I know there's a month to go before the 2025 deadline, but it really looks like poor series of decisions thus far. As someone else pointed out, the previous regime would be getting pelters for this.
We need to be improving the squad for the here and now as well as for 2026.
What happened with Galvin is all pretty straightforward in my opinion and the timing sort of backs this all up. Benji and Richo have agreed that he needs to be developed into a 13 and have publicly stated as much, it would have become more obvious since the PM's game. Teams have worked him out at 6, too slow and one dimensional. This would mean Latu slots into 6 or 7 when he gets back from injury (hence the "extras" training he has been doing with Luai). Galvin is not big enough yet to cover 13 so may have dropped to 14 or centres as he develops and learns to tackle...this is also why the team was trying to get him to bulk up in the offseason and he probably didn't because he wants to stay at 6. Benji comes out and makes a statement in a press conference that Latu is too good to not be playing in first grade and that is pretty much when Galvin and co shit the bed. Richo knew there were murmurings as Galvin has form in relation to bitching and moaning when things don't go his way, so he decided to nip it in the bud and put forward an offer....offer was duly rejected as I'm sure he knew it would. From that point forward Benji could select the team he wanted. Unfortunately, Latu broke his thumb, so he was out of the picture to play. Parra came out and played like bloody premiership contenders with Moses doing his usual Andrew Johns impersonation against us, so that backfired and the media started all the crap about losing because Galvin was not playing, also the bullying claims came out, so Benji and Richo panicked and had to bring him back into the team to disprove this.
I think we should have kept him in KOE after that loss, however we ended up beating Cronulla at Leichhardt with him in the team, although he was not great, and that nailed it for us.
Galvin and co see him as a half and will agitate to ensure he remains there, he sees Vella (his westfields school coach) as his safety blanket at the Dogs, and he went there instead of the Eels because the path to success is straightforward as they are already leading the comp and he thinks Vella will always be in his corner. Poor guy will find out the hard way that this is a cutthroat business and now that Gus has him, Vella is no longer required, or Vella will throw Galvin under the bus in order to secure his own gig and promotion there.

I agree that we made some good recruitment calls leading into this year.
But I'm talking about mid-season changes in 2025 specifically. We have let Klemmer and now Galvin go, and lost Olam to the medical retirement. We also pushed out Sullivan and Bateman after pre-season had started. We haven't brought anyone into the 2025 top 30 in that time. That's not improving the squad - that is depleting our numbers, on a squad that was already short on depth.
Our inconsistent results and performances this year show we're still miles off where we need to be as a finals contender. There are several big holes in the top 17, and the depth below that top squad is absolutely paper thin across the board.
I really hope Richo and co have some surprises up their sleeve, as it's all a bit grim at the moment.
Galvin to Dogs > rumours that Toby Sexton will quit the club
Reed Mahoney told to explore options immediately > making room for Tallyn Da Silva?
Something is brewing with Tallyn and he is very close with Galvin. It wouldn't surprise me that Gould will take both from under our nose. Richo is being taken to the cleaners!
tds can go rot if he jumps ship, dogs have wanted to offload Mahoney for ages
heard somewhere sexton to broncos or cowboys ?
sandon smith to cowboys
if we lose tds we have api and Haywood so is not too bad a hole to fill
Terrell May was brought in to the squad after preseason started. We did add Hope & Faataape to top 30, both on minimum which allows upgrades or front loading or offers to players before mid year which is still a month away. They will bring a player or two into the squad. But whoever they bring in will not be of high quality because who is available right now?I think we’ll have improved the squad. We all want to win now of course but if we really want to improve the quality of the squad then we need to look at the right players eg Reynolds, Hetherington, Kamikamica, maybe Fifita if Titans release him. These guys could make a difference but hardly likely to be released early with exception of Fifita. At present I can only think of guys like Ativalu Lisati, Asu Kepoa and Harrison Hassett who might be released right now. Teams still in contention with genuine chances of top 4 etc are unlikely to release players playing regular first grade right now.

I loved that debate. I think Gould is one of those people who thrive on argument, and if he speaks unthruth's long enough he actually starts believing what he's saying.

Completely agree Russ. We need to be patient and go after the people who will make a difference. If that means we have a lacklustre 2nd half of this season then so be it.
