I’ve messaged these guys to find out their source.
Its a weird statement...."Despite the uncertainty". There is no uncertainty for the next 5 years.
Looks to me to be mistaking confirmation for some of the recent statements out of the Tigers camp ( along way from confirmation).
I don’t believe you are that naive and truely believe that.

Good on Sheens for being absolute and forthright. The original Telegraph article has steam coming off it and should be viewed as such!
@tiger5150 the salary cap auditor ? . Because he will be here . And if he doesn’t show up or kicks rocks , he will be fined .
Like you guys said his situation is very different . He’s at the start of a contract .
the nrl cannot allow it to happen .
Sheens was quick to quash the rumour in his ABC interview yesterday.
Yes, he just said “he’ll be here”.
hardly quashes the rumour....Im sure Sheens believe that, but there is only one person who knows the answer.
In the context of the interview - which was my point - yes he did mate. End of conversation.
He knows how to handle those situations, quash it don't waffle on about it.
What did you guys make of Benji’s response to the question about Papalli in the Fox Sports interview?
I’m still feeling this is a 50/50 thing unfortunately.

I'm feeling 60/40 that he isn't coming. Probably just used to us losing in this sort of situation but no one has really said anything of substance to refute it apart from "He'll be here." I really want a statement from Papali'i saying I'll be at the tigers next year.

I hope it was just Benji being respectful to Papalii.

Yeah the ‘I’d love to have ice here’ didn’t leave me with much hope. But we’ll see.
I think with the interview less is more don't really engage in discussion let Tim sort it out and say no mate you are coming see you November 1
Didn’t like the way Benji spoke about this. Much preferred Sheens’ last response that ‘he will be here’.
IPap signed a contract with us as Parra did not think he was worth what we were prepared to pay him. Since then Parra have lost a few players so have the cap room to match our offer. Almost certainly Parra have arranged some additional payment from some of their dodgy supporters who happen to be builders
@tommy_gun I wouldn't be surprised if the money saved on nofa is handed straight to IP to sweeten his deal?
I still have fingers and toes crossed we'll get to see IP and Blore as a second row combo next year.

We should only give him more money after he comes here and earns it. If he doesn’t want to come here then he can sit out 3 years and earn zero money.

We got him on a very good deal, his game has continued to improve since then. I would be happy enough to throw him a bit more money if it makes him more content to come to the club.

Me too, give him Nofo's salary for the rest of the year as a signing bonus.
