@mercy-rule ??? You do realise guys like this cavanaugh are the reason we have been a basket case for all these years ? Long before Lee and Pascoe turned up ?
they’re the same guys who meddled when Tim wanted more money for a gym in the 00s . They’re the same bozos who wanted to sink beers with their mates in the corporate boxes , so they let any and everybody ply whatever games , because at the end of the day they’re a tigers board member .
Every leak , , every crap power struggle because go the Maggie’s … tigess” .
these guys are an absolute cancer and have been in and amongst this club for too long .
do you even know how poorly run the wests rl is ? How for years that district pissed money up the wall and nearly none of it ever filtered down to the clubs. That’s as big of a a stain on this clubs inability to develop players as it is on the wests tigers themselves .
I find the anti Pascoe / Lee stuff so frustrating . Make no mistake I think Pascoe is a good CEO but a crap Club leader . I think Lee is in it for the SEN talk bank shows and the press and I’m not sure he’s up to it at all .
But as I said they are not the problem . People like this Cavanaugh bloke have , and continue to be , the rot festering through this club .
I think Pascoe is a great financial manager but a terrible CEO. The other guy is just a rich fan who has no clue.@mercy-rule ??? You do realise guys like this cavanaugh are the reason we have been a basket case for all these years ? Long before Lee and Pascoe turned up ?

Wests Tigers Podcast - Talking everything Wests Tigers!
True that… but it was probably the only place that they would actually take notice of the criticism of themselves. At all other opportunities they are just blind to it. But agree it wasn’t the place to do it. I would say it was done then out of pure frustration of being ignored.Except Cavanagh is spot on. Lee and JP are oblivious to the roles they played in the downturn of Wests Tigers. It’s always someone else’s fault and they have no self examination of how they contributed.Goodbye dinosaur
A pretty easy argument to make. IMO its also a pretty obvious thing that you do not make that argument at the most important function as a guest of WT in front of sponsors.
happy to be corrected but I believe WSDRL have a seat on the WT board so presumably there might have been opportunity for said Dinosaur to raise his concerns in an appropriate forum, like perhaps a Board meeting.
You are correct and that is something I forgot on the pod we just recorded lol

I dare say this whole melodrama seems something of a storm in a teacup and deserves to be binned.
There very likely is a villain in the affair but given the amount of negative coverage Wests Tigers have been subjected to in recent times it would seem that Mr Weidler is going back to the well.Rather predictable.
By Tuesday afternoon in anticipation of team sheets, this sordid little interlude will be an afterthought I’d think.

Agree fully with this despite the fact Steve and I argued about it on the pod tonight.

@garry Has the pod dropped yet Garry or is that for tomorrow?Always entertained when you and Steve engage, lol…

Tomorrow, I think I won the battle but probably lost the war when I realised after I had forgotten a piece of info that probably made Steve correct.

Look its as simple as this...
Any "Boss" that cannot take criticism from those within that are all trying to aim for a successful entity obviously has some superiority complexes that aren't good.
Maybe... just maybe if Justin Pascoe had a calm discussion with this bloke and listened and took his comments on board there would not have been a heated discussion in front of sponsors in the first place.

not sure it’s that simple. Pascoe reports to the WT where WSDRL club have a seat. If anything this bloke is closer to Pascoes boss
It's an unfortunate thing to happen this close to season opener, especially given how well the playing group and coaching staff have been handling things during the offseason. I think all three involved in this haven't come out looking great.
In saying that it will be forgotten soon enough when the footy starts.
One thing I will give Pascoe/LH credit for is not taking the bait and declining to comment, thus seemingly ending the public discourse.
That said, ready to rescind that if and when Lee tees off this bloke on his radio appearance(s) this week (is he still doing this?).

No they don't? Only Wests Ashfield has seats (and 2 for Balmain). WA then fund the junior comps under their charter. Wests Football Club has no ownership or oversight whatsoever of Wests Tigers.

That is not correct, the Wests Tigers are owned 90% by Wests magpies Pty ltd, which is made up of 66% Wests Ashfield and 33% WSDRLC. WSDRLC also holds one seat on the Wests Tigers board.
Balmain own 10% and have 1 seat.

I don’t see this blow up as a Wests v Balmain thing. These types of conversations happen regularly in any organisation within the leadership group. Leaders question each other in their roles on the performance, health and direction of their organisation, nothing wrong with that. The only problem here is that this conversation occurred in public or was leaked.
If the Wests chairman did indeed have this conversation in public then he should be sacked. But, Justin and Lee do need to acknowledge that we did come last (this is fact) and in a result driven business is not acceptable. The leadership (board, CEO and Sheens) all are responsible, the results are a reflection of their leadership qualities and football acumen.
Unless premierships are won regularly, the leadership must accept criticism.
