I’m interested to see how crowds go for the rest of the year. We have Sharks and Dolphins at Commbank as our only real home games left.
SOO affected, against out of town Storm, we are at the bottom of the ladder.
LO would of had similar.
It will be better next year when they start to give CS some decent games and hopefully we are competitive
It is concerning I get 6pm Friday night games drawing low last year against warriors at css we drew more than 8.5k
LO had a far superior crowd against out of town cowboys on a Saturday night a month ago when we were last also.
Newton are trying to join a bid with Western Australia into the nrl with some games maybe to be played at Leichhardt Oval . If that happened it might strengthen the case for a LO redevelopment

I don’t get these combined bids where they want to play x amount of games in NSW. North Sydney have offered to go anywhere as long as they get 2 games at NSO. Now the jets. I think if you go to a new region you have to go all in

I agree I can't see those half bids working x games in Perth and x in Sydney it dilutes the fan base.
A little of topic but I do think the next expansion team needs to be in WA.

WA would be my first preference as well. The game needs to expand beyond its comfort zone of the East Coast
Panthers stadium knock down rebuild has been changed to a renovation. Not sure if this opens up any cash for other grounds. Also note that the Shute Shield final is at Leichhardt oval tomorrow
@the-last-ronin So where does that leave us? Havent you been listening to all the clever people saying we should move to WA?We cant have two teams there!
Bewildered Frog
Schute shield final has been at LO for about 3 years or so.
Think LO will end up getting some upgrades at some point

SMH article says they are still spending the originally money but it’s just perhaps a new main stand. Not clear if that means there is any money for other grounds

Extinct….
Won’t happen but would be great if the NSW government just took the $390m they have agreed to spend on Panthers stadium and just built a new main grandstand at both CSS and panthers stadium with appropriate male and female facilities, corporate suites, extra seats etc. You would then have 2x 25k+ stadiums in western Sydney that have sufficient modern facilities to keep them relevant and useful for the next decade at least.

You would think even $100 million at each ground would make a massive difference. You could invest the other dollars in safety and access improvements at Leichhardt and other community infrastructure around the state.

Now that we are going back to our heritage grounds for next year I would love to see the club so things to try and create a culture around game day and support that other clubs have. It has been so long since our club has had success that there is a notable lack of confidence from the home supporters when something goes against us (even Leichhardt can go dead quiet after we concede a try against the run of play as the whole crowd thinks “here we go again”).
I would love to see the club setup a fanatic fan zone at one end of the ground at LO (maybe northern terrace) and CSS and sell a membership based on access to that zone. Perhaps link it to the Ambush and allow the fans inside that zone to bring their own creativity to how to create something uniquely Tigers. Think of it as our equivalent of the Blacheys Blues at Origin and give members to that tier of membership a special hat or scarf or something to make it a unique offering.
