@helmesy light rail straight to the door for SFS
if we are seriously as a club only 3 options are SFS, Stadium Australia or stay at Parramatta
at least SFS and Stadium Australia are neutral feel and no leagues club next to it
Problem is there are issues with all the options.
Hit the nail on the head there Garry. Wherever we play there are issues.
Commbank is a great stadium but as you enter and leave you see the Eels leagues club, it doesn’t feel like a home ground. The parking is also a problem, I had to park two suburbs away for the game against Parra. Leichhardt and Campbelltown need upgrades, Homebush is too big and no atmosphere. The SCG is not suitable for league and the SFS is not West enough. People will complain about any of the options currently available.
Pretty much spot on mate.
The one that ticks the most boxes then is Homebush.
That is just personal preference though, it depends how much value you place on each of those ticks and to be honest for me Stadium Australia is the least desirable place for us to play.
You’d go SFS over Homebush if a choice of two?
By the tiniest of margin but wouldn't like either of them for different reasons.

The new SFS will be the best rugby league ground in the world. We would have rocks in our head if we didn’t think about making that our dominant ground.

It’s basically the easiest place in the city to get to. Express heavy rail from the north and west, a new metro through our heartland in the inner west (a station literally next to the COE) and another metro linking to the south west. It’s like they have built the SFS to link together all of the Wests Tigers fans. Thankyou Mr Perrottet

It is not the easiest to get to for those in the West, but that isn't really my issue. In a time where we may have further rationalisation of the competition, being a team called Wests playing in the Eastern Suburbs set us up to have our place in the game questioned. I can't see how you can claim to represent the West when you play in the Eastern Suburbs.

The fact that it is a long way for Campbelltown cuts both ways. There are a lot of people who live near the city who support the tigers and will struggle get out. The name thing is a complete furphy, we don’t “represent” anybody. We will never be tied to a specific geography like Penrith or parramatta or Canberra etc. That is the legacy of merging 2 teams from different regions of Sydney. It is what it is, re-litigating it 20yrs later to make us a Campbelltown team may work or equally likely won’t work (didn’t work last time etc). Wests is in our name but it’s not a “thing” in my view. It’s a nod to our heritage and was a designed to make sure that the JV never lost the Wests history despite the mascot being the Tiger. Claiming 20 yrs later that the fact that is in our name prohibits us from making a call like playing in the best league stadium in the world is just cutting off our nose to spite our face in my view.

Then why should the NRL keep us in Sydney?

I don’t think the NRL have a choice do they? As long as we aren’t asking them for money and we are fulfilling our obligations then we are here to stay.
One thing worth considering is that no one in Sydney today considers Ashfield to be in the western suburbs.

I think you play a couple of games at LO and CSS and the rest at SFS
scrap the home team at magic round and Tamworth game

I don’t quite get this fascination with magic round other than it being an opportunity for fans and media to have a short holiday in Brisbane and for fans based in Brisbane to see their club play once a year. As for Tamworth, seems of little value.
even to appease campbletown area perhaps you play
5 at SFS
3 at LO
4 at CSS
this can be done if we flick the magic round and Tamworth.

Im not 100% but I think "home" teams get a share of the gate
