a fulltime move to campbletown I would probably not bother with season tickets I have had since day 1 at all venues

the club has a very big decision to make, at present we cover inner west and campbletown, if we make the wrong move you give up inner west, historically Magpies were Lidcombe

We wouldn't be playing any less games in the Inner West than we do now?

That’s true. Parramatta is certainly not inner west, glad to see us leave that place.

If it does involve a new stadium I would like to see a much different design to Western Sydney Stadium.

How come?

I went to a concert there and it was brilliant. I would of thought that the design would be great for footy too.

I must say even though it was a concert, I couldn't imagine it being anything other than Parra stadium. Definitely would never be any other teams home ground.

It is a good stadium but caters for the corporates too much, the entire Western side is corporates only. As a season ticketholder I believe I should have seats out of the sun and it may seem stupid but I feel a larger connection to the team sitting on the western side of a ground. I would like a stadium with enough seats for season ticket holders on that western side.

Really like to see a fulls traffic approach to the geographical issue.

Need to do more in the south West than just play more games there.

The youth academy is a good start.

We need to visually embed ourselves there

The increases involvement in the Junior League will help as well.

Sorry that should of said "full strategic' not 'fulls traffic'

I know we are investing in juniors.

But think we need something visual and physical.

A new stadium at C'town or Liverpool which is obviously WT would do the trick.

If a stadium in Liverpool is shared with Bulldogs - we'll have the same identity issues we have now.

For those who say the crowds at Ctown are to low to deserve most home games- there's actually not much difference between the crowd average at LO or C'town - which is surprising because C'Town usually get the low drawing teams I.e GC/NZ on the low drawing timeslots I.e 6pm Friday

WT regular season home crowd average by stadium 2000-2021:

Stadium Australia - 22,397

Leichardt- 12,607

Campbelltown- 11,823

WSS- 10,354

Well this is a lively and vibrant little thread and we’re observing all manner of arguments and interpretations from all different angles.Hopefully that makes makes for a richer debate. But I was thinking, can anyone show me a famous  time honoured champion team, whatever sport or code, that doesn’t play out of a singular home base?Curious to know if there is one...

I like the idea of a split with more being played at CSS if they give it a revamp. That area is growing massively but we still need to look after the inner west as we have a lot of home grown talent come from there.

From a whole game perspective, I think every team should be doing what we do with Tamworth. Pick a country town and take at least 1 home game there.

Serious question, are we sure taking 1 game to Tamworth brings in any new supporters or players when people are doubting whether 8 games at CCS isn’t the answer?

I’m pretty sure the NRL offers financial incentives for clubs to take a game to a regional centre

I mean it more as a whole game initiative to help promote the game in the country.

I think the more pertinent question is if there is a famous time honoured champion team that has come from merger of 2 teams each with 100 years of history

I would like to know if there’s data/stats around that show a correlation to membership numbers and stadium capacity?

I’m of the belief that when the AFL clubs shifted from suburban grounds to the MCG/Docklands their member numbers increased significantly.
