We will no doubt be talking about this topic in twenty years time and with no resolution unless the club has a leader who is prepared to put their neck on the line and make a tough call. Any decision will come with a call for their head. As a supporter of the club, I will watch the team at any ground but I do appreciate comfort. LO and CSS are substandard, WSS  just feels wrong, so for me Homebush is the default option.

IMO if the club turned around tomorrow and said we are all in at Homebush, I genuinely think it would be the end of the club. There are threats and weaknesses in the SW but we can not abandon Macarthur/Campbelltown. I personally think abandoning LO would be a mistake as well

What is your preferred outcome mate? Sorry if you have already stated it.

You make very sound points 5150.Abandoning Macarthur/C’town would be suicidal.Who knows what the NRL administrations of the future will look like and how they will function. For our future survival and sustainability,it would be sheer lunacy not to reinforce and develop what we already have in the South West whilst still maintaining our strong inner west traditions.

Or alternatively,as has been suggested by some,do we just walk away and allow other clubs to move in?

In my perfect world there’d be nothing better than to have every game played at a refurbished, boutique Leichhardt, but that’s hardly realistic.

Campbelltown/Leichhardt in my opinion.Strange bedfellows,but I can’t see a better alternative.

Good discussion.

The issue is there's no perfect solution at this stage,  and depending on what you prioritise you land at different conclusions.

To best answer this from a club perspective- they need an overarching vision for the club,  which then guides these major decision.

What does the club want to prioritise?

- junior development and connection to Macarthur nursery?

- biggest crowds for when we are winning?

- fan and corporate experience?

- history?

- the future?

Are we a western Sydney club?

Are we a whole of Sydney club?

Where is our base or our heart?

We need to answer these first - then the answer to the stadium question will become more apparent

I think with the COE at Concord some of these have already be answered. Maybe not the way the club had envisioned.

To go out west every two to three weeks to play a game would be disrespectful to the community there. They won’t embrace that approach, never have and never will. It’s either move the whole organisation there and play there fulltime or play at one of the major stadiums with the COE at Concord. Then 1 game at LO and CSS for nostalgia purposes.

So effectively give up the Macarthur?

Develop juniors and competitions by all means. But if we do a half hearted approach and not move the whole organisation there the community will give up on the Wests Tigers. That approach has never worked.

Its not a popular opinion, but I actually dont see the problem with the existing set up, could be fine tuned. Play big drawing games at Homebush, the rest equally at LO & CSS. Second best option, CSS & LO carve up.

So some people are saying that if we don’t go ‘all in’ for the SW then MacArthur will abandon us?

By that logic, if we did go all in for the SW then the inner west would abandon us?

I would like one home ground in Sydney (Tamworth and Brisbane are set) for the future but I keep reading posts that still have multiple Sydney home grounds.

Do people want one home ground in Sydney going forward, yes or no?

One home ground is my preference. I think we need to decide who/what this club represents and go with it.

@cqtiger I'd like one home ground. I'm sceptical regarding Campbelltown. We've never drawn big crowds there and I don't think we will in the future (I can't recall any sporting team doing well there).

My preference also. One home ground. This issue just wont go away and it will continue to haunt us until we bite the bullet and stick.Do we want one impregnable fortress or half a dozen feeble, undermanned outposts?
