IT’S no wonder the Wests Tigers elevated Adam Doueihi into a leadership role as quickly as possible.
We’re tipping if Doueihi wasn’t missing until midway through the season due to his second ACL reconstruction then the talented five-eighth would be the Wests Tigers sole captain.
The Tigers local junior, 23, is a straight shooter who is well aware of the challenges facing the club this season after a 10-year finals drought.
“We’re all under pressure this year, we haven’t had success for ten years,” Doueihi said.
“Whether it be Madge, myself or the rest of the playing group, we’re all under the spotlight.
“We’re all chasing success and we want success this year.
“If we don’t make the top eight this year it’s another unsuccessful season and we’ll just be going in circles.
“It’s time for change and the steps are in place to change and we’ll see what happens these first few rounds.”
For the record Doueihi is aiming to return somewhere between rounds 12 and 14 this season.
The Tigers need their best player back as soon as possible with the gun five-eighth now back running and doing some change of direction work in terms of his rehab.

Interesting phrasing.
