Whoever is selected in the centres will have a baptism of fire marking Justin Olam.Ouch.

Best centre in the game in my opinion in a time where the centre role is reducing.

Looks tough as nails as well and hits like a truck!

Yeah ..but a good play maker will cut him to threads .....he commits early ...bad sides that run the same plays in attack get creamed by him

Will also be interesting to see how he goes now JAC isn't there drawing some attention as well.

Storm will learn to counter any changes quickly ...I can't really ever remember them failing to adapt to change ..whether it be rules , line ups etc

True, but I think they come back to the field a bit this year.

Business as usual for Melbourne .....Top 4 imo ...but it will be interesting to see how their club reacts to what has occurred off season

I look forward to seeing the day when Melbourne are languishing in the bottom third of the ladder. Surely it’ll happen sooner rather than later!

If there was a competition for pre season pledges and promises then we’d be top four for sure.

How about say nothing and do the talking on the park.

Because the game is a business now that doesn't allow the club to be quiet. I don't like it either but it is the sad reality of the modern game.

There are plenty of things you can say without rehashing the same tired old cliched nonsense.

The club desperately needs a PR professional to assist with this stuff because it's absolutely cringeworthy.

When AD is fit he should be straight back into the 6 position, most of the good stuff we did last year came through him and the few times we looked like a decent side he was at the heart of it.

Once again however everyone seems intent on shuffling the Titanic deckchairs to avoid addressing the Luke Brooks conundrum.

I wasn't overly impressed what I saw of him in SL in '21 but I am really hoping a fresh start in a new country has given Gildart a boost.

Absolutely. It should be Hastings and Brooks fighting out the other position in the halves.

I really think AD needed this off season to work on aspect of his game, he is also coming back from a second ACL. I don't think he will be the same player in 2022 that he was in 2021.

I think he was good early in his career but injuries have impacted him, hopefully we see a return to the form from early in his career.

Every position in the team should be up for grabs and no player should be undroppable.

AD can certainly improve on certain aspects of his game but he was our best half last year IMO and if he comes back fully fit he will only improve and deserves another shot at 6.

I don't agree with this. I reckon Madge will sack Brooks if it improves the team. I don't see the conundrum that people see. He makes our team because he has been one of the two best halves in the comp.

I'm not sold that Doueihi walks straight back into the 6 jumper. I think it depends on how the centres and halves perform.

100%. This is the key to me. I can't see us having a great season so players should be picked on form/performance.
