Agreed, just have to sell it to him. From what I know about him I don't think it will be a difficult sell for the club.

do you think any risk by doing that Dogs come sniffing around if they get desperate for a 9

They just signed Reed Mahoney, Simpkin is also very aware that he has aspects of his game to work on. I don't think he would have any problem playing reserves next year as long as there is a plan laid out for him. Api complicates that a little but the club should have enough of an idea to give him some confidence.

I think the deal with Api will be Jakey shakes his hand as he leaves Concord .....bit of a kick in the guts

I think Simpkins has a future, just has a few things to work on.

I think that Liddle will leave the club with a massive dilemma by the end of this year.

How do you figure that?

It would be a good dilemma to have.

Who else reckons this guy’s in line for a big 2022?

This will be his third year in first grade and based on some glimpses we saw in 2021 he could be ready to really step up.

Where do you see him lining up in 22, lock? Bench?

I can’t fault his effort but I don’t think he’s an NRL player.

He moves very slowly when carting the ball forward.

Gets smashed on most hit ups.

The only forwards at WT who showed an ability to dent the defensive line in ‘21 were Stefano and Blore. For this reason, my opinion is that we can’t carry too many other worker/toiler types.

I hope Seyfarth can prove me wrong. It’s great to see local juniors playing grade even in losing sides.

That is why I think Papali'i will be a good signing for us. We really lack forwards that win the collision consistently.

@helmesy I think he will improve on last year. He will be much better than Simpkin, and as Api declines, there will be questions around who should actually be picked.

He was hung out to dry defensively by the other middle forward last year. I have not seen any other hooker who is left as isolated to make the initial contact with big boppers while his teammates stand around and watch

I rate Seyfarth highly. I'd have him as one of our middle forward options in round 1. I'd probably start him at lock.

Yeah I see either he or Peachey wearing 13 or 14. Maybe it will depend on who and when we are playing. Both hopefully nail down this position.

Does Peachey’s utility value see him more likely to be a bench player?

Tbh I hope both are in the 17 for starters and I also think it should depend on who we are playing and conditions. But what do I know 🤔
