Was chatting to a bloke on Saturday at the training session who said he was a neighbour of Adam's and that he picked up a knock (not to the knee he had done) so was limited re training on Saturday. Also said Adam was keen to get one of the centre spots, had recognized his defense needed work and had been working hard to rectify his issues.

Ok, good intel 👍 thanks

that fits with another conversation I heard about: a trainer asked who'd be goal kicker in rd1 with API out. Answer was Doueihi

That is interesting too 🤔

Just to balance that - Benji spending quite a bit of time at Saturday's training on right edge combo - Galvin, Seyfarth, Toa

I wonder if Olam may not be ready round 1 either, so could be Toa/Adam? We do need someone that can goal kick so that may tip him onto the team. Hopefully the work on his defense has delivered some results.

He is a fascinating player. Definately NRL quality, not fast enough for 5/8 but very big and strong running with ball in hand. Can be very classy in shape but also a big at times (particularly a few years ago when he was the 6). Never struggles to get up after getting tackled which results in slow play the balls and he often looks gassed during the game despite not really doing much work. Has had some great reads in defence as a centre this year but has been an arm grabber his whole career. In theory he could be a great 13 but I really don’t think he has the motor to do it for long stints. I very much doubt he gets a starting 6 role anywhere in the NRL but his position in our squad looks tenuous giving the centre depth coming through. Loves the club but can also be a sook at times.

100%, great post. I don’t think he gets a go anywhere as a starter, but might be a 14 at any number of clubs.

Dare I say it - modern day Moses Mbye??

Doueihi has said Isaac Moses is not officially his manager, just someone helping him with negotiations.

If he had the character and personality to accept that he's a future 14 (at best), he'd be worth considering. But, I think he sees himself as better than that, and therein lies the problem; his belief of his talents versus the reality of his talents. Maybe Moses just tells him what he wants to hear.

If he can show that he can defend in the middle, particularly under fatigue and if he can show that he can give the ball to the halves when they need it then he might be the perfect solution to our 13 problems. He runs straight, is very strong also and a genuine running threat plus he is our best long kicker and has shown he can goal kick. I’m very keen to see how he plays this weekend and how many minutes he plays.

Can I just say, great field goal today and a couple of really good conversions, but I’m not sure we’ve found Adam’s position.

Terribly set up that field goal, but just went with the flow of the day. I think he could make the position his. But the 6 that played today was pitiful‼️

Roosters game halves we should go forward with maybe. But if there was ever a description of a headless chook look no further than today’s game of Jerome’s.

He was fine at 13. He has had very few reps in that position and being in that position on the field allowed him to kick conversions and the final field goal. No one owns that position for us. Let’s see how he goes between now and year end but Douhie on the field makes us better.

True. Strangely, he looked slower at lock 😂
