@avocadoontoast we have a strong salary cap problem is nobody wants to sign with us
I just listened to our CEO on SEN. In summary:
- COE won't translate into success immediately.
- Not happy with 2022.
- We're a development club.
- We are on the path to success.
- We have a strong salary cap.
All looking really positive. So excited for the future 👍
Same old thing said by the same people. Rinse and repeat.
I know I stick the boot into Pascoe a lot, but to be honest he said nothing that would give any fans even the slightest bit of hope. The things he was saying are the same that he says every year. I find it extremely frustrating to hear our CEO talk about what a great job he's doing when we're coming dead last. I know the COE and memberships etc are important but the only thing I care about is winning games. I've said a million times before we need a CEO with gravitas to run this club. Pascoe is not the right fit and he never will be.

Exactly. Cap space is fairly irrelevant at this point.
So, at this stage what are we roughly looking at for next year?
1. Laurie
2. Nofoaluma
3. Kepaoa
4. Naden
5. Maumalo
6. Doueihi
7. Brooks
8. Ofahengue
9. Korisau
10. Utoikamanu
11. Blore
12. Papali’i
13. Hastings
14. Musgrove
15. Pole
16. Seyfarth
17. Brown
Some strengthening needed in depth/variety imo.

I’m not happy with Musgrove or Seyfarth in the starting full strength 17 and Blore has barely played any first grade so would like a better option at 2RF.
I think Rua might give Brown a run for his money.
I like Seyfarth but he can't be in our best 17 - would prefer Tommy Talau there who could cover most positions except prop/hooker
Top 8 2023
Sometimes you just need a break. Have some time to yourself & try to remember what you love about the game & the club. For me it’s more than just being successful although I wouldn’t say no to that. It’s a cliché but the journey is what it’s about for me. This journey is a rough one right now but along the way there’s some good things to enjoy. Struggles are just part of life and you get through them quickly or not so quickly. I think I’m the better for them. Mind you, I could easily take being in the shoes of a Storm supporter or a Roosters supporter. Ok, maybe not a Roosters supporter.
@tigertownsfs very worried about Blore think we are hitching our wagon to an injury prone unproven second rower
we need better option to partner Papali

It would be a real pity if Blore can’t get over his injuries.

Happy for Seyfarth to play the role Eisenhuth is playing at Penrith

I really think Alex should be given a bit of slack for this season. He is a middle forward that played predominantly in the back row. He’s best position is prop or bench prop. But his depth will be good, but if he plays a roll in ‘23 he must find his form from season ‘21
After watching the game last night between the Sharks and Cowboys this title should read RE: 2027 as that’s where our team is at present so far behind with coaching and player strength !

Yes and no. At times in the last couple of years we’ve shown some limited signs of promise, hopefully Api gets us more on the front foot and Blore and Utoikamanu can get back on the field.

I’m not sold on Api as our saviour. He is definitely a clever dummy half, but noticed he missed a few tackles on Friday night. He seemed to get bumped off when attempting straight forward tackles. With our lazy middles this could be an issue.
I’m looking forward to Sheens addressing our defensive problems.
